About the Role:
We are looking for ambitious, movie-obsessed students to join the IMAX Internship Program this Summer. This 10-week program (June–August) offers hands-on learning, skill development, and real-world experience in a collaborative and innovative environment, based in our Mississauga office.
The successful candidate will provide high-level support to the Global Events team, reporting to the VP, Head of Global Events. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to the VP and team, including scheduling meetings across multiple time zones with various stakeholders
Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, including corporate screenings, sales conferences, and board meetings
Partner with the Events team on logistics such as vendor coordination, timelines, guest lists, and event materials
Assist with on-site event execution, including live coordination, attendee check-ins, and banquet event order checks
Track event details, budgets, and timelines to ensure smooth project delivery
Conduct research on venues, vendors, and event trends to support upcoming programs
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
Nice to Haves
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with multiple stakeholders
Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn through hands-on experience
Prior internship, co-op, or academic experience related to events, marketing, or operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Passion for IMAX and film

Hiring Range :
$21.00 (per hour) Placement within this range depends on a candidate’s experience, skills, internal equity, and regional market factors.
