About the Role:

We are looking for ambitious, movie-obsessed students to join the IMAX Internship Program this Summer. This 10-week program (June–August) offers hands-on learning, skill development, and real-world experience in a collaborative and innovative environment, based in our Mississauga office.

The successful candidate will provide high-level support to the Global Events team, reporting to the VP, Head of Global Events. This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the VP and team, including scheduling meetings across multiple time zones with various stakeholders

• Support the planning and execution of internal and external events, including corporate screenings, sales conferences, and board meetings

• Partner with the Events team on logistics such as vendor coordination, timelines, guest lists, and event materials

• Assist with on-site event execution, including live coordination, attendee check-ins, and banquet event order checks

• Track event details, budgets, and timelines to ensure smooth project delivery

• Conduct research on venues, vendors, and event trends to support upcoming programs

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, or a related field

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team

Nice to Haves

• Strong interpersonal skills and confidence communicating with multiple stakeholders

• Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn through hands-on experience

• Prior internship, co-op, or academic experience related to events, marketing, or operations

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Passion for IMAX and film
