This leader will architect a best-in-class intern experience, strengthen conversion outcomes, and ensure alignment with CDW's long-term Academy & Residency growth strategies. In addition, this role provides agile leadership support as a floating Sales Manager during transitions and plays a key role in onboarding and developing new Sales Managers entering the Academy & Residency Program.
What You Will Do:
* Intern Program Leadership & Strategy:
* Lead the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for CDW's Sales Intern Program.
* Build an engaging, high-impact experience that develops foundational sales capabilities and strengthens CDW's early-career talent pipeline.
* Partner with segment leadership to create shared accountability for intern engagement, performance, and conversion outcomes.
* Design evaluation frameworks, performance scorecards, and structured conversion pathways (e.g., Academy & Residency entry, post-program opportunities).
* Incorporate sales skills training, exposure sessions, executive interactions, and hands-on activities that prepare interns for seller-led engagement.
* Develop program branding, communication rhythms, and recognition moments to elevate program visibility and importance.
* Early-Career Talent Development:
* Create and deliver development experiences tailored to early-career sales talent, including workshops, coaching moments, role-play simulations, and foundational sales training.
* Partner with Academy & Residency leaders to ensure alignment between intern development and early-career seller readiness expectations.
* Implement feedback loops with interns, managers, and HR to continuously enhance program design.
* Ensure interns receive structured coaching, clear expectations, and meaningful exposure to CDW's culture and GTM model.
* Sales Leadership Support:
* Serve as a floating Sales Manager during leadership transitions, temporarily leading teams to maintain continuity, performance, and employee experience.
* Provide targeted support to Sales Managers with high team-to-manager ratios to maintain engagement, development focus, and operational balance.
* Serve as a thought partner to Sales Leaders on intern-to-seller progression, engagement approaches, and best practices in early-career talent development.
* Onboarding & Manager Readiness:
* Support onboarding and ramp-up of new Sales Managers entering the Academy & Residency environment.
* Partner with Learning & Development to enhance manager readiness training, toolkits, and knowledge transfer.
* Deliver coaching and shadowing opportunities to help new managers build skill in developing early-career talent.
* Cross-Functional Partnership:
* Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to define recruiting needs, align selection criteria, and ensure candidate quality.
* Build strong partnerships with HR(CWS), Learning & Development, and Sales leadership to ensure the program supports organizational priorities.
* Use data and analytics to diagnose performance trends, improve intern engagement, and increase conversion rates.
What we expect of you:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Human Resources, or related field.
* 3-6 years of experience in sales leadership, program management, talent development, or early-career workforce programs.
* Proven ability to design, launch, and scale programs that develop early-career or entry-level talent.
* Experience managing interns, residents, or early-career sellers in a structured development environment.
* Strong understanding of sales processes, seller development, and team dynamics.
* Demonstrated ability to influence leaders, create clarity across stakeholders, and drive accountability.
* Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
* Strong organizational, operational, and project management capabilities.
* Ability to lead in multiple capacities (program owner, coach, floating manager) with agility and adaptability.
* Must be able to travel up to 20% of intern program location, including Cherry Hill, Dallas, Bell Works, NYC, Shelton, Tampa and Tempe. Pay range: $ 114,000 - $ 155,000 depending on experience and skill set. Annual bonus target of 10% subject to terms and conditions of plan. What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
