The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Investment Data Integration Analyst who will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining systems and data pipelines critical to our Investment Reporting, Performance Reporting and Investment Data Governance & Strategy teams. In addition, this role will be responsible for the creation of metrics and dashboards to track the adoption of the data governance framework within IM and reporting on the data quality of our Critical Data Elements (CDEs). The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of investment data requirements and understand the language of investment data. The candidate is self-motivated, able to operate independently and manage multiple competing priorities while meeting deadlines. They are an expert in working with data tools such as SQL and Python and able to understand logic embedded in ETL tools such as Informatica and stored procedures. Experience working in businesses with a varied mix of investment types (public, private and structured assets) and familiarity with performance reporting tools like FactSet is required.

We ensure that our strategy for sourcing, aggregating, distributing, and governing Investment data adequately meets the broad requirements of the business community and we are accountable for defining, communicating, and driving forward the data strategy for the investment ecosystem. You will regularly work with the Investment Reporting & Communications and Performance Reporting teams who are responsible for the creation of materials reviewed by the Board of Directors, Investment Oversight Committee (IOC), other executive leadership and external regulators. We also partner with teams across Investment Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Corporate Finance, Enterprise Technology, Corporate PMO, MassMutual affiliates and external third parties.

Data Quality
- Independently monitor data processes and workflows to detect and resolve data quality issues.
- Communicate requirements and partner with Enterprise Technology to implement solutions which enhance the quality of Investment data
- Track open data quality issues and their time to resolution.
- Create and report on data quality metrics to senior leadership within Investment Management and Enterprise Technology
Investment Reporting & Communications
- Maintain and improve existing data visualization tools used by the Investment Reporting & Communications, Portfolio Managers and senior leadership which provide actionable insights into our General Investment Account.
- Partner with Enterprise Technology to maintain the databases and related ETL processes that support Investment reporting, dashboards and analytics.
- Manage interactions between operational and technology teams, communicating business needs into technical requirements, and negotiating priorities with tech/data based on business needs.
Performance Reporting
- Responsible for performance data platforms and related ETL processes.
- Monitor and oversee daily performance workflows.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors and Enterprise Technology to identify and resolve issues with daily performance processes.
- Work with the Performance Reporting team to gather requirements and transform them into technical specifications for new process enhancements.
- Partner with Data Quality and Pricing teams to ensure the accuracy of data ingested into performance platforms.
- Identify areas for efficiency improvements and automation in performance workflows.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, finance, math or related subject area
- 8+ years in an Investment Data Product Analyst or similar role.
- 5+ years of financial services, insurance, asset management or related industry.
- 5+ years of experience in SQL and data manipulation tools (e.g., Python, R).
- 3+ years of experience with data quality tools, data lineage tracking, and metadata management.
- 2+ years of experience in performance reporting tools like FactSet or other similar tools.
Ideal Qualifications
- Experience with data governance tools such as Collibra, Alation and Data360.
- Data Modelling, Data Governance or Data Science training and certification
- Experience with Aladdin or similar multi-asset investment books of records (IBOR) and order management solutions (OMS).
- Strong understanding of Investment Data needs across a wide variety of instruments including public and private assets, bank loans etc.
