Job Summary:
As an IT Business Analyst for Genesis Consulting, you will play a critical role in analyzing and interpreting data, identifying trends, and providing insights to support decision-making and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of select programs. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and propose solutions to address complex challenges in healthcare policy and administration.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and communicate with numerous stakeholder teams around the delivery support of a core capability (policy or technology driven) in a dynamic, demanding, and fast-paced environment.
- Utilize strong consulting skills to successfully collaborate with Business Owners / IT Project Managers, Application Development Organizations (ADOs) and other systems organizations to ensure high quality delivery of application enhancements.
- Analyze datasets related to healthcare utilization, expenditures, quality measures, and other relevant metrics.
- Identify patterns, trends, and anomalies to inform policy development and program evaluation.
- Translate business needs into clear and comprehensive requirements documents, user stories, and functional specifications.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
- Ability to effectively coordinate and communicate across internal / external stakeholders to develop, expand, and strengthen stakeholder relationships, and support maintenance of stakeholder matrix.
- Experience with requirements gathering and data analysis to determine potential solutions for issues that require cross team collaboration.
- Experience with identifying, tracking, and resolving business and technical issues, and identifying points of coordination specifically around product delivery and/coordinating development and maintenance releases.
- Ability to identify and communicate risks, issues, and dependencies that could result in potential schedule/stakeholder impacts.
- Experience with planning for and supporting key operational and technical processes.
- Ability to support content updates or development for internal/external briefings, reports, and documentation.
- Knowledge of Atlassian tools, including JIRA, Slack, and Confluence preferred.
- Experience/knowledge of Project Management, Agile methods, and other technical processes (SDLC/waterfall) highly desired.
- Knowledge of the federally facilitated health insurance marketplace or health insurance eligibility and enrollment is considered a plus.
Minimum Education:
- Master of Arts or Master of Science Degree preferred, ideally in a Healthcare related field.
Required Certifications:
- PMP, Scrum, or Scaled Agile Certifications preferred.
