Team Overview: 

Impinj is seeking an IT Help Desk Intern specializing in Technical Customer Support to join our Help Desk team. This role will work closely with our IT Support Analysts and all levels of the organization. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to build practical IT skills by supporting end users, preparing and maintaining devices, assisting with account access, and helping manage the company’s technology assets. 

What you will do: 
  • User Support:  
    • Respond to IT support requests via phone, email, or in-person in a timely and professional manner
    • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment
    • Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, VPN, and LAN/WAN configurations
    • Provide support for remote users, ensuring they have secure access to necessary resources
  • Asset Management: 
    • Assist with inventory tracking and equipment lifecycle management, such as checking in returned equipment and assessing what equipment can be deployed
    • Ensure conference rooms are running correctly
    • Provide IT support to in-house company events
  • Endpoint Provisioning: 
    • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and security updates
  • Account Management: 
    • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems, including Active Directory and other enterprise applications
What you will bring:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
  • Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • A customer service-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

This Summer Internship Cohort begins on Monday, June 15 and ends September 4. The start date is firm; the end date is flexible to end early. All internship positions report at least on a hybrid basis to our Seattle office. There is opportunity for full time employment for those graduates or those in their senior year.  


Compensation & Benefits:

The benefits listed below may vary depending on the nature of your employment with Impinj and the country where you work.

The typical base pay range for this role across the US is $26.00/hr - $40.00/hr. Individual base pay depends on various factors such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties, requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Both market wage data and the mid-point of the pay range is reviewed and used as the starting point for all new hire offers. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
At Impinj certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. US based employees have access to healthcare benefits; a 401(k) plan and company match among others.
