Maxar is currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Senior Project Manager to join our team in Westminster. This role is pivotal for our organization, leading critical enterprise-wide initiatives focused on large business application transformations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects involving Enterprise Resource Planning ( ERP ) , Customer Relationship Management ( CRM ) , and/or Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) implementations, and will serve as a key leader within our current IT Project Management Office (PMO) team.
What you'll do day to day (with your colleagues):
  • Lead End-to-End Project Lifecycles: Drive the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale enterprise business application implementations (ERP, CRM, HRIS).

  • Strategic Project Planning: Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives .

  • Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate with, influence, and manage expectations of all project stakeholders, including executive leadership, business users, and technical teams.

  • Risk and Issue Management: Proactively identify , assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans to ensure project success.

  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and allocate resources efficiently to optimize project outcomes.

  • Vendor Management: Oversee and manage relationships with third-party vendors and consultants involved in implementations.

  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement best practices for project management methodologies within the PMO, contributing to continuous improvement.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to other project managers and team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

  • Reporting & Communication: Provide regular, clear, and concise project status reports to all relevant stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and next steps.

Minimum requirements for this position:
  • Bachelor's degree in B usiness A dministration , Information Technology, or a related field.

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in project management, with a significant focus on leading large-scale enterprise business application implementations (ERP, CRM, HRIS).

  • Must be a U.S. citizen and be willing and able to obtain U.S. Government security clearance .

  • Demonstrated expertise in large business application transformation projects , showcasing a deep understanding of the complexities involved.

  • Proven success in a leadership role within a PMO , with the ability to influence and guide project management best practices.

These skills would be amazing:
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and proficiency with project management tools.

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • PMP or equivalent project management certification is highly desirable.

Location: This is an onsite position located in our Westminster office

The successful candidate's starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.
• The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $104,000.00 - $174,000.00 annually.
For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
