We are seeking a well-rounded IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain our IT environment in a remote setting. This role acts as Tier 2 support for frontline helpdesk and support staff, and requires strong systems administration experience, particularly in diagnosing server-level issues and supporting system and data migrations. The ideal candidate is an IT generalist with broad technical depth across cloud services, infrastructure, and enterprise tools.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 2 escalation support for helpdesk, resolving complex system and infrastructure issues
  • Administer core IT systems and services (Email, Messaging, Device Management, etc)
  • Monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot and maintain on-prem and cloud-based IT infrastructure and tools
  • Manage and track workload through ticketing system (e.g. Jira, Zendesk)
  • Support and execute system and data migrations across platforms and services with occasional weekend availability
  • Provide remote IT support for a distributed workforce
  • Document processes, system configurations, procedures and enforce IT security best practices
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Availability during Central Standard Time Zone
  • Experience in IT systems administration or a similar role
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across operating systems, servers, and cloud services
  • Hands-on experience supporting system or data migrations
  • Broad IT generalist skill set (e.g., cloud platforms, identity management, endpoints, VPNs)
  • Experience supporting remote teams
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, etc)
  • Experience administering Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence), including migrations or configuration
  • Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g., Zendesk, Jira Service Management)
  • Cloud platform certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Security or compliance experience (e.g. PCI, SOC 2, ISO 27001, SOX)
