About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Systems and Security Consultant to strengthen key IT controls for our critical financial systems. You'll focus on enhancing change management, user access, vendor oversight, and ensuring system security and integrity. This is a 2-3 month contract, with the anticipation of dedicating 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Change Management: Improve change management procedures, including documentation, approvals, testing, and monitoring
  • User Access Control: Enhance user access controls including reviews, role-based access, authentication and access request processes
  • Vendor Management: Manage vendor security including reviewing security reports, assessing controls and restricting access
  • Ongoing Monitoring & Compliance: Develop and implement IT control monitoring procedures and collaborate with IT and business teams on system risks and controls
Requirements
  • Experience in IT systems and security
  • Strong understanding of SOX ITGC controls, frameworks and best practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience with financial systems preferred

Hourly Rate: $40-$60/hour
