Job Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for helping maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring the cleanliness of the office and plant areas.
Job Responsibilities: (This job description in no way implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position. Employees will be required to follow any other job-related instructions or to perform other job duties requested by their manager.)
  • Empties all trash cans and recyclables into appropriate bins
  • Cleans, sweeps and mops break areas, factory rest rooms and offices
  • Change's all cleaning toiletries when needed
  • Responsible for cleaning of plant equipment when required
  • Perform disinfecting and cleaning of areas
  • Ensure all janitorial materials are clean, in good working order and stored properly when not in use
  • Work in a safe manner, and observes plant safety rules and regulations at all times
  • Recommends proposals for improving products, processes, systems productivity and working environment
  • Follow and support LMV Automotive's operating principles
  • Exemplify a Safety-first approach by obeying safety rules and procedures, wear PPE at all times and immediately address all safety concerns.
  • Support quality and environmental policies
  • Support efforts to achieve department and plant goals on Employee Opinion Survey
  • Run floor scrubber daily
  • Clean spills and other hazards with appropriate equipment
  • Dispose of contaminated waste in labeled biohazard containers, practice thorough hand hygiene, and follow established spill response procedures Participate in training programs, staying updated on safety protocols
  • When working with bloodborne pathogens, must clean and disinfect surfaces using appropriate disinfectants, handle sharp objects with tools and dispose of them in puncture-resistant containers, and wear PPE such as gloves, gowns, masks, and eye protection
  • Follows and supports LMV Automotive Systems' and Magna's operating principles.
  • All other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to be flexible, work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and work with little supervision
  • Ability to operate a floor scrubber or capable of learning to operate a floor scrubber
  • Ability to work well with others and build positive relationships
  • Ability to comprehend written instructions

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds
  • Bending, lifting and kneeling
  • Continuous walking, standing or sitting

Environmental Conditions:
  • General Factory Environment
  • Working outside in all weather conditions as needed
  • Office Setting
