To further strengthen our position in the large herd segment, we are looking for a Large Herd Consultant to support our Business Partners across North America and act as an internal expert for our teams.

You will play a key role in helping our Business Partners successfully sell, install and support Nedap Cow Monitoring solutions (CowControl, SmartSort) for large dairy herds. You will ensure they have the knowledge, tools and support needed to drive adoption and maximize impact.

What will you do?

  • Support Business Partners: work closely with our genetics and milking equipment partners to grow Nedap’s market share in the large herd segment;
  • Training & Enablement: equip key personnel with the skills and insights to demonstrate the value and impact of Nedap’s technology to their clients;
  • Sales & Application Support: Facilitate the sales process by reviewing quotations, recommending system configurations and ensuring the right solutions for each operation;
  • Market Insights& Feedback: gather and analyze input from Business Partners and end-users to refine our strategy, product fit and approach for large herds;
  • Collaborations & Knowledge Sharing: work cross-functionally with teams in marketing, product management, engineering and R&D to drive continuous improvement;
  • Industry Representation: represent Nedap at trade shows, conferences and key industry events, reinforcing our brand and values;
  • On-Site Support: travel to end-user sites to support project sales, system installations and optimize farm performance.
  • You may also take on additional responsibilities as needed within the Nedap US Livestock team.

What do you bring?

  • A passion for the dairy industry and a strong drive to expand Nedap’s footprint in North America
  • Familiarity with activity monitoring or milking equipment is a plus;
  • The ability to confidently engage decision-makers and demonstrate the value and ROI of Nedap’s solutions
  • A strong network in the North American dairy industry and the ability to build meaningful relationships at all levels
  • A collaborative mindset, capable of working effectively across commercial, marketing, product, and engineering teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a persuasive and consultative approach;
  • The ability to manage and communicate stakeholder requirements both internally and externally;
  • Willingness to provide on-site and remote support when needed.

Additional Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business or animal science, with deep knowledge of herd performance, animal health, reproduction, and farm profitability;
  • 5+ years of industry experience, preferably with hands-on involvement on large farms (owners, herd managers, reproduction teams);
  • Valid US driver’s license and passport (Spanish language skills are a plus);
  • Based in the Upper Midwest (preferably Wisconsin, South Dakota, Minnesota, Illinois, or Iowa).
  • Remote position with 10% in-person collaboration for team events;
  • Willing to travel 50%+, both domestically and internationally;
  • Physical ability to stand, sit, type, use communication devices, and safely lift 10-30 lbs.

Your team

In this role, you will be working closely together with the Nedap Livestock team in the US. Also, you will be an essential member of the Global Sales and Application Support team, which is responsible for supporting our Key Account Management team and Business Partners who are daily working on improving life on the farm.

Base Salary range based on experience level and location is estimated to be in the range of $100,000 – $140,000.
