OVERVIEW:

Job Purpose:

The Lead Analyst supports the Customer Analytics portfolio, developing strategic analyses and occasional reporting to unearth insights to inform action rooted in data, with little direction – and serving as a subject matter expert in the space. Under general supervision, this individual will synthesize data acquired from myriad resources, coalescing disparate information into a cohesive, actionable story.
 

Job Responsibilities:

Analytics & Testing

  • Develops strategic analyses to unearth insights to inform action rooted in data, synthesizing data acquired from myriad resources, to tell cohesive, actionable stories.

  • Defines analytical priorities for functional area, and effectively delegates analysis work to support business timelines and objectives.

  • Retains overall responsibility for the quality of analytical output of the defined functional area.

  • Proactively evaluates analytical process and seeks out better or faster ways of generating value for business decision making.

  • Able to use common tools and platforms (e.g. SQL, GCP, Excel) and/or vendor platforms (Facebook, Instagram, DV360) to query, join, extract, and manipulate raw data from disparate sources to tell a comprehensive story with key insights and recommended actions.

  • Deliver analysis, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. Contribute to, and implement, statistically sound test designs, and present findings to cross-functional business stakeholders to contribute to mid- and long-term strategy.

Business Stakeholder Support

  • Support ad hoc requests for analytics and ad hoc reporting, as well questions from business stakeholders around methodology, how to interpret a metric or trendline, and how to use self-service reporting tools.

  • Support ad hoc analytics requests in a timely and prioritized manner.

  • Lead formal and informal training sessions with client groups to enable business stakeholders to answer questions via self-service tools such as Intera (internal BI tool) and PowerBI.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Acts as a coach/mentor for other more junior analysts, disseminating best practices and conferring knowledge.

  • May manage a direct report, and if so, responsible for analytical development and teammate engagement.

Desired Skillset:

  • Experience with customer analytics across digital, retail, and omnichannel touchpoints.

  • Proven track record in analyzing customer behavior, segmentation, lifetime value, churn, and acquisition metrics.

  • Hands-on experience with data platforms and analytics tools such as SQL, Python/R, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Looker. Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Google BigQuery) preferred.

  • Experience with Customer Analytics, Customer Journey Analytics and/or Customer Profiling Analytics a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of customer data models, including first-party data strategy, CRM data structures, and integrating data across multiple data sources.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence business strategy through customer insights.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Level Preferred Economics, Statistics, Liberal Arts or Related Field.

  • 5-7 Years of Experience

  • SQL, R, Python, experience with BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI); Testing and Optimization Tools; GCP or Azure Experience

Targeted Pay Range: $76,500.00 - $124,600.00. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
