Lead a developer team to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications using Node.js, React, and Next.js. Own CI/CD pipelines, repository and branching strategies, code reviews, performance optimization, security best practices, technical documentation, and recruiting/onboarding responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Lead a team of developers by setting clear technical direction, providing mentorship, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality code.
- Architecture and Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Node.js, React, and Next.js.
- CICD Implementation: Implement and manage Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines to streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Repository Management: Oversee code repositories, branching strategies, and version control systems to ensure codebase integrity and collaboration efficiency.
- Code Reviews: Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and adherence to best practices.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver software solutions that meet business needs.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for the codebase, APIs, and system architecture.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and other technical issues to ensure optimal application performance.
- Security: Implement and enforce security best practices to protect our applications and data.
- Team Building: Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience as a lead developer or technical lead in Node.js and React/Next.js projects.
- Strong expertise in CICD tools and practices.
- Experience with repository management and version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
