The DE + AI Solutions Engineer will design, build, and deploy advanced data, Generative AI (Gen AI), and Agentic AI solutions for key client projects. This role requires deep, mandatory hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure and Databricks, focusing on translating complex business requirements into scalable, production-grade code, pipelines, and infrastructure.


Requirements

Client Engagement & Delivery:

  • Collaborate directly with client stakeholders to gather requirements, present technical solutions, and manage expectations.

Technical Leadership & Expertise:

  • Take a lead role in building, optimizing, and deploying robust, scalable Data Architectures and Data Engineering pipelines on Azure and Databricks.
  • Develop, deploy, and productionize end-to-end Generative AI solutions (e.g., RAG, fine-tuning) and demonstrate a clear history of production-deployed use cases.
  • Implement and design solutions for complex Agentic AI use cases, including hands-on experience with architectures for multi-agent systems (A2A) and communication protocols (MCP).
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Maintain relevant industry technical certifications, with a mandatory focus on Azure and Databricks.
  • Implement industry best practices for data, Gen AI, and Agentic AI engineering.

Consulting & Prototyping:

  • Partner with clients and internal teams to translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Develop and present technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and working prototypes to clients.
  • Contribute to developing reusable code, frameworks, and practice assets.

Talent & Support:

  • Provide technical expertise to support pre-sales, BD, and RFP activities as a subject matter expert.
  • Participate in the technical interview process and help mentor new hires.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 10-13+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering, solution engineering, or AI development.
  • Must have extensive, hands-on implementation experience with Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
  • Must have strong Data Engineering (pipeline development, ETL/ELT) and Data Architecture experience.
  • Must have a proven track record of designing, building, and deploying Generative AI solutions into a production environment.
  • Must have specific, hands-on experience in Agentic AI solution design and implementation, including A2A (Agent-to-Agent) or MCP (Multi-agent Communication Protocol) architecture.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, MLOps, and DataOps methodologies.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and working with offshore teams.
  • Mandatory certifications in Azure and Databricks.
  • Strong problem-solving and advisory skills.
  • Strong insurance (P&C / L&A / Health) domain understanding.
  • Willingness to travel ~ 30% (about 6 days a month).
