As a Lead Engineer you will play a key role in the preparation and execution of our offshore projects. You will collaborate with employees of different nationalities and disciplines and you will be located in one of our offices (HQ or Breda). We are currently looking for an experienced Lead Engineer who can manage (large) offshore cable installation projects, having both a strong engineering but also installation background. Together we work on DEME’s vision of creating a sustainable future.Your responsibilities
  • Being responsible for the engineering, preparation and execution of our projects;

  • developing method statements for our works before we go execute them offshore;

  • reviewing and checking work from the engineering department;

  • reviewing detailed engineering reports, procedures, manuals and method statements;

  • developing work-packs for the preparatory phase of the project;

  • when on site, optimizing and implementing the method statements in practice and taking the Lead when necessary;

  • taking care of ad hoc needs of the project and actively respond to questions from the project management;

  • ensuring planning, reporting, budget control and cost monitoring.

Your profile
  • Bachelor / Master degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Dredging or Marine Engineering;

  • experience in offshore installation projects;

  • willingness to work abroad on our vessels or projects and in the office;

  • fluent in verbal and written English;

  • excellent team player and a good communicator.
