The Lead Marketing Operations Manager at SchoolStatus drives the strategy, implementation, and execution of all marketing operations. This role ensures process efficiency, data & reporting, optimization of the marketing technology stack, and successful cross-functional collaboration between marketing and other departments. It requires a deep understanding of marketing technologies, data analysis, performance tracking, and governance. This role is key to ensuring the seamless integration of marketing operations across the organization, driving efficiency, and improving overall marketing performance.

The impact you'll have:

  • Strategic Oversight:  
    • Establish the vision and strategy for the marketing operations function, aligning it with the broader goals of the marketing department and the overall business objectives.
  • Team Collaboration and Project Leadership:  
    • Lead and manage Marketing Operations projects and initiatives across cross-functional and vendor partners, ensuring alignment with key business goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Act as a liaison between marketing and other departments such as IT, finance, and sales operations, ensuring smooth integration of marketing operations across the organization.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting:  
    • Partner with the Senior Director of Revenue Marketing to set, track, and report on marketing KPIs (e.g. funnel metrics) and campaign/channel performance (e.g. ROI, ROAS, CLV).
    • Oversee the development of dashboards and reporting systems to consistently and scalably measure and report on marketing performance.
    • Provide data-driven analysis, trends, and actionable recommendations to the marketing and GTM teams.
  • Marketing Attribution:  
    • Define and implement both marketing-sourced and multi-touch attribution reporting models to evaluate marketing channel performance.
    • Regularly report on marketing attribution, providing insights to improve channel effectiveness.
  • A/B Testing:
    • Design, implement, and report on website and email marketing A/B tests, ensuring continuous optimization.
  • Lead Scoring
    • Develop, document, and implement lead scoring models in collaboration with the SchoolStatus and Smore sales teams.
    • In partnership with the Senior Director of Revenue Marketing and Sr. Manager Demand Generation, regularly review and optimize lead scoring with sales leadership. 
  • Process Optimization
    • Partner with the Director of Project Management to identify and implement opportunities to streamline marketing workflows.
    • Ensure cross-functional alignment between marketing, sales, and other departments.
    • Leverage AI to enhance and optimize marketing processes.
  • Technology Stack Leadership:  
    • Lead decision-making for the selection, implementation, and optimization of marketing technology platforms (e.g., CRM, marketing automation, analytics).
    • Collaborate with the Revenue Operations (RevOps) team to align the go-to-market (GTM) tech stack with organizational objectives.
  • Compliance and Governance:  
    • Ensure marketing operations comply with data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and governance policies related to marketing data.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in marketing operations or related roles, with a proven track record of achieving results. Experience in high-growth SaaS organizations with multiple product offerings is preferred.
  • Highly analytical mindset with excellent ability to absorb, process, and leverage data. Proficiency in data analysis, metrics, and statistics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.
  • Strong understanding and mastery of marketing technology tools and platforms, including HubSpot, Salesforce, Customer.io, ChurnZero, Google Analytics, Wordpress. Interest in the K-12 education space and a creative "can do" approach. Flexibility toward change and a passion for driving continuous improvement.

U.S. Pay Range
$130,000$140,000 USD

Please note that the compensation information is a good faith estimate, and is provided pursuant to Equal Pay Laws. SchoolStatus intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience. Our team will provide more information about the total compensation package for this position during the interview process.
