The Lead Criminal Data Analyst will own a crucial role in driving data-driven decision-making across the Criminal and Public Records Product organization. This role is the facilitator all aspects of the criminal data product roadmap, and will lead the initiatives of the corresponding teams who will build, integrate or enhance any new or existing products in their respective portfolio aligned to the product roadmap using Agile methodology. The Lead Criminal Data Analyst will coordinate and initiate appropriate criminal data product strategy coupled with the Criminal and Public Records product team, Scrum Master, QA and Engineering.

What You'll Do:
  • Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies
  • Definite and execute ETL processes to ensure seamless data integration
  • Create and optimize complex SQL queries for reporting and analytics purposes
  • Design and implement data models and algorithms to support business objectives and enhance product capabilities
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses to support various business initiatives
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights
  • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders to senior leadership in a clear, concise, and actionable manner
  • Mentor and guide junior analysts in data analysis techniques and best practices
  • Ensure data quality and accuracy by implementing validation checks and error handling mechanisms
  • Automate and orchestrate ETL processes using PowerShell, scripts, or other technologies

What You May Need to be Successful: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in data analysis or related field, with at least 2 years mentoring/coaching team members
  • Proven expertise in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries and optimize for performance
  • Proficiency in Python, PowerShell or similar tools for data manipulation and analysis
  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar data visualization tools
  • Ability to understand, organize, manipulate and derive complex data insights from large data sets
  • Experience with ETL processes, data pipeline orchestration, and automation
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehouses
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods and data modelling techniques
  • Strong understanding of data governance and compliance standards
  • Strong project management skills, including project planning, execution, and monitoring
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, relationship building and negotiating skill

The salary range for this position is approximately $120K-150K base annually. This range reflects our good faith estimate to pay fairly as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
