Your Impact
The Lead Product Manager owns the vision and strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for large, cross-functional and/or highly complex products that often span multiple product groups. Responsibilities include defining the roadmap as well as planning and managing products and product features through the product development process. This role manages the product backlogs for one or more product groups while prioritizing work and making product-related decisions based on the needs and expectations of customers and stakeholders. This role identifies and manages projects with a high level of autonomy. The Lead Product Manager manages multiple product designs at any given time while partnering closely with the business to understand challenges and develop the go-to-market strategy.
Key Responsibilities
  • Define the long-term vision, strategy, and investment thesis for the New Frontiers portfolio, connecting disruptive technology shifts to meaningful customer, associate, and enterprise opportunities.
  • Own discovery and product development for defined New Frontiers initiatives, connecting emerging technology shifts to meaningful customer, associate, and enterprise opportunities.
  • Identify customer and business problems worth solving for DIY and Pro customers through customer research, associate feedback, market signals, and operational insight.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into clear product visions, use cases, experience principles, requirements, roadmaps, and decision-ready narratives.
  • Lead structured discovery, applied R&D, and experimentation in ambiguous problem spaces; design credible tests that reduce strategic uncertainty.
  • Define hypotheses, learning agendas, success criteria, and phase-appropriate outcomes for explorations, proofs of concept, pilots, and incubations.
  • Partner closely with engineering and design to make informed tradeoffs among customer value, technical feasibility, operational viability, speed, and risk.
  • Develop and maintain initiative-level roadmaps, OKRs, metrics, and documentation that communicate near-term learning and potential long-term value.
  • Synthesize experiment results and make recommendations to iterate, invest, partner, scale, pause, or sunset opportunities.
  • Build productive relationships with partners across Technology, Stores, Supply Chain, Merchandising, Digital Commerce, and other functions to accelerate learning and create paths to adoption.
  • Support engagement with external partners, including startups, researchers, universities, venture firms, and technology companies.
  • Navigate security, legal, architecture, governance, and operational constraints while maintaining momentum and rigor.
  • Create clear executive-ready narratives, demos, and artifacts that explain what Lowe's is learning, why it matters, and what decisions are needed.
  • Contribute to strong product-management practices across Labs and provide informal mentorship to product peers.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, business, design, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 7+ years of experience across two of the following: product management, product marketing, applied engineering, software or hardware development, R&D, entrepreneurship, or business analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience defining product direction, roadmaps, hypotheses, and prioritization tradeoffs in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering and design teams.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into clear, customer-focused product strategies, requirements, and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience creating or evaluating prototypes, proofs of concept, pilots, or experiments.
  • Strong customer research, market analysis, and quantitative and qualitative decision-making skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, storytelling, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Applied engineering expertise in one or more relevant frontier domains, with Physical AI, robotics, embodied AI, computer vision, autonomous systems, or world-model development strongly preferred.
  • Experience building or bringing to market hardware-software systems, robotics platforms, AI-enabled products, spatial computing experiences, advanced manufacturing technologies, or other emerging-technology solutions.
  • Experience in a corporate innovation lab, startup, research organization, venture-backed company, or similarly high-ambiguity environment.
  • Technical depth sufficient to engage credibly with engineers on architecture, technical constraints, system behavior, experimentation design, and scale-readiness tradeoffs.
  • Experience working directly with customers, field teams, stores, job sites, or operational environments to validate real-world needs and constraints.
  • Experience managing external technology partners, vendors, research collaborators, or strategic alliances.
  • Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, human-computer interaction, business, or a related field.
  • CSPO or comparable product-management certification.
