Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be an impactful technical leader focused on developing solutions to achieve key business objectives by driving progress in product development goals, tooling, and processes.
  • Collaborate with product management to understand business requirements for new capabilities and identify an effective end-to-end technical design and implementation plan.
  • Consistently seek to improve efficiency, communication, and quality.
  • Regularly contribute to the source code while maintaining high coding standards and best practices.
  • Provide insightful feedback, coach and empower less experienced engineers.
  • Investigate and solve production bugs across multiple levels of the stack with an eye toward improving maintainability over the long term.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of professional experience in designing and developing web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, HTML, and UI frameworks such as Angular or React, along with relational SQL databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Experience with cloud deployment of web applications, developing reusable UI components and RESTful services.
  • 3 or more years team technical leadership and agile delivery.
  • Proven track of technical ownership for complex product initiative through all stages of software development from business product requirements to launch in production and post release support.
  • Able to provide high-level estimates and technical design for complex product features and consolidating contributions from other engineers as needed to complete implementation of these features and launch them to customers.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to message complex issues to a diverse audience across multiple cross-functional teams and representatives of non-technical disciplines.
  • Experience performing troubleshooting/root cause analysis for operational issues and leading efforts on engineering teams required to improve quality of deliverables from their team leveraging well-defined quality metrics.

Additional Details

  • This position is based out of our office in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, WA (hybrid work schedule).
  • The estimated compensation for this position is $150,000 - $190,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
