Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Lean Practitioner to join the Boeing Production Systems team in Portland, OR.
Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels, including Experienced and Senior Lean Practitioners.
The successful candidate will be an expert in Lean+ and Lean manufacturing, supporting the implementation of the Boeing Production System and advancing Employee Involvement maturity. They will collaborate closely with teams across the Major Business Unit (MBU) to drive the execution of improvement projects.
This individual will partner with manufacturing teams and other stakeholders throughout the 737 program to promote the integration of BPS and Operational Excellence best practices, aiming to achieve world-class manufacturing system performance and efficiency.
As a Lean Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in driving Lean initiatives across the organization. You will be responsible for leading projects that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall performance. This position requires a deep understanding of Lean principles and methodologies, as well as the ability to mentor and guide teams in their Lean journey.

- Conduct value stream mapping and process analysis to identify areas for improvement
- Develop and implement Lean training programs for employees at all levels
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement efforts
- Utilize data analysis and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Lean initiatives
- Mentor and coach team members in Lean principles and practices
- Prepare and present reports on project progress and outcomes to management
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Lean methodologies
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
- 3+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
- 3+ years of experience in a role which required strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 3+ years of experience using strong analytical and problem solving skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience implementing lean principles
- 3+ years of experience teaching Lean tools and concepts
- 1+ years of experience utilizing systematic problem solving tools (BPSM/RSPS)
- 1+ years of experience using Oobeya or other site level strategic planning tools
- Lean Six Sigma Certification - Green Belt or Black Belt
- Boeing Lean Tool Certifications (PARL: BPSM, AIW, VSM, 3P...)
