Job Summary
The Legal Assistant will support litigation across multiple practice areas by assisting with client communication, intake, document gathering, and case progression. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring they receive timely updates and support throughout the life of the case.
This position requires strong customer-service skills, professional communication, and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment with accuracy and confidentiality.

Job Description
- Conduct initial client intake.
- Assist clients during the records request and documentation process, including medical, employment, and personal history records.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients, providing case status updates and collecting required information.
- Serve as liaison between clients, attorneys, and internal support teams.
- Organize, track, and maintain case files electronically.
- Assist in drafting basic correspondence and case-related documents.
- Support attorneys in document review, data compilation, and preparation of filings or settlement packets.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all privacy and HIPAA-related standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated empathy, professionalism, dependability, and a client-care mindset.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in mass tort, personal injury, class action, or civil litigation an asset.
- Prior law firm experience an asset.
- Experience in client intake or administrative/legal support.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.
- Experience drafting forms, client-service correspondence, or handling record requests.
- Familiarity with legal case-management software or litigation platforms.
- Medical record request experience and medical record review experience a plus.
