Nayax North America is looking for a Legal Counsel to join our Maryland office.

As a member of the legal department, you will support a variety of legal projects, including managing legal aspects of agreements with third parties, ensuring implementation of internal legal procedures and policies, and assisting with corporate governance.

This role is ideal for a dedicated, curious, and proactive lawyer who wants to understand how a global fintech company operates, handle cross-functional projects, and contribute to a dynamic team environment.

The Legal Counsel will report directly to the Legal Director & Global DPO in HQ (Israel).

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the legal activity in Nayax's North American entities.
  • Advise and support business units, departments, and teams across the company on legal matters.
  • Manage global legal projects involving multiple stakeholders, including legal tech and automation initiatives.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, including privacy agreements (DPA).
  • Support procurement processes with regard to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage outsourcing relationships in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Handle corporate secretarial matters for the North American entities within the Nayax Group.
Requirements

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney in the U.S.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a commercial or corporate lawyer in a law firm or in-house.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Proven ability to implement internal policies and procedures.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Able to coordinate and align local needs in North America with global projects and priorities of an international group.
  • Knowledge and understanding of privacy, with an emphasis on US privacy state law and FTC regulations (Advantage)
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
