What the role involves:

As an experienced Legal Operations Specialist, you will drive and execute initiatives that evolve the Legal, Compliance & Risk (LCR) function into a data-driven, efficient operating model. Applying systems-design principles, the role owns defined workstreams within the legal operations strategy, implements enabling technologies (including AI), and ensures legal services are commercial, transparent, and responsive. Reporting to a senior leader in Legal and working closely with the EVP, Legal, the role translates strategy into tactical execution with clear KPIs and measurable results.

  • Design, implement, and manage specific components of the legal function's modern operating model, applying systems design principles to optimize discrete workflows, processes, and technology integrations.
  • Lead the evaluation, piloting, and deployment of new legal technology and software, including identifying opportunities to integrate AI to drive efficiency gains in specific legal processes (e.g., contract management, matter intake).
  • Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and efficiency of the implemented operational changes.
  • Independently drive initiatives to improve commercial awareness, transparency, and the responsiveness of legal service delivery to internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners (e.g., Finance, Engineering, HR) and legal team members to understand operational needs, define detailed requirements, and ensure successful adoption of new systems.
  • Own the full project lifecycle for moderate-to-complex legal operations projects, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery with clear communication to stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the legal team.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • Typically 4 +years  of proven experience in program management, project management, or operations, ideally within a legal, compliance, or similar corporate function.
  • Demonstrated practical experience in applying systems design principles to map, analyze, and optimize business processes.
  • Hands-on experience in evaluating, implementing, and managing legal technology solutions (e.g., eBilling, CLM, AI agents, knowledge management systems).
  • Experience managing projects that involve technical requirements and cross-functional dependencies, delivering them from initiation to completion.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to define metrics, collect data, and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and drive change without direct authority.
  • Experience in a global organization or fast-paced technology/FinTech/blockchain environment is highly desirable.
