KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extract, clean, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets
- Design, build, and optimize machine learning models and predictive systems
- Perform feature engineering, data preprocessing, and model evaluation
- Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities within data to drive business decisions
- Develop data stories and present insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Build dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytics, Operations, Marketing, and IT
- Enhance data collection processes to improve data quality and usability
- Ensure data integrity, compliance, and confidentiality (HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid, etc.)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or machine learning
- Strong proficiency in Python or R, and SQL
- Experience building ML models (classification, regression, clustering)
- Strong foundation in statistics and mathematics (regression, probability, linear algebra)
- Hands-on experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib, etc.)
- Strong communication skills and proven ability to solve business problems with data
- Preferred: big data tools (Hive, Pig, Spark); Scala, Java, or C++; experience in regulated industries (healthcare, insurance)
