About This Role

As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a critical role on a team of engineers that drive new CV, LLM, VLM, and Agentic AI development for LiveView Technologies. You will be responsible for designing and implementing ML systems for security and monitoring. Department leads will need your help to understand which problems are appropriate for ML, and to select the appropriate machine learning models for our business needs. Your recommendations will help guide us in design decisions that add significant value to the company. You will have an opportunity to impact the success of the business with ML, and in other areas of software engineering.


Job Responsibilities
  • Lead, design, implement, and improve ML and AI solutions leveraging CV, LLM’s, VLM’s, and Agentic AI
  • Explore and research new and emerging ML technologies for the company
  • Share insight into which types of problems are most appropriate for machine learning
  • Provide guidance on distributed training and data collection
  • Create solutions that are optimized to combine Edge IOT devices and Cloud Services
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Facilitate a culture of innovation, transparency, and clear communication
  • Write and review technical documents, including requirements and design documents

Qualifications

  • BS in computer science, electrical and computer engineering, or related field. MS is preferred, and PhD is a plus.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience, including 2+ years creating and shipping production-level Machine Learning solutions.
  • 1+ years of experience specifically training and deploying solutions leveraging CV and/or Language Models (LLMs) or Vision-Language Models (VLMs). 
  • Expert proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++) and familiarity with open-source technologies.
  • Deep understanding and practical experience with supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning methods for prediction and optimization.
  • Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, including the ability to select the optimal model for business applications.
  • Experience with Neural Network and Transformer optimization (e.g., quantization, compression, distillation).
  • Solid experience with applied data science methods, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Expertise in ML training data collection, wrangling, and optimizing/tuning high-dimensionality data.
  • Experience with Linux/Unix environments and source control systems (Git).
  • Familiarity with cloud-based development platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
  • Ability to work independently on ambiguous problems while maintaining a highly collaborative, team-player attitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and cross-functional teams.

Desired

  • Experience with Agentic AI frameworks and protocols: Langchain, CrewAI, Microsoft Agent Framework, Anthropic’s MCP, Google’s A2A, etc.
  • Experience with reinforcement learning methods for prediction and optimization.
  • Experience with Container ecosystems (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in areas like search, ranking, computer vision, recommendation systems, or multi-modal/multi-sensor fusion.
  • Evidence of thought leadership (e.g., patents, published papers) and experience presenting/visualizing results to business audiences.

The beginning annual salary range for this role is $175,500.00 - $208,000.00 USD and is determined by location, job-related experience, and education/training. Your total earning potential is amplified by a bonus structure tied to meeting goals, and you will become an owner from day one through our employee equity program.
