- Manage day‑to‑day inquiries for the managed services portfolio and support RFP activities
- Develop, track, and manage offers through the New Service Introduction process, partnering with Marketing to advance enablement plans
- Build KPIs aligned to industry benchmarks and assess portfolio performance and competitive insights
- Lead sales enablement programs to drive adoption of managed services across global field teams
- Drive offer innovation by evaluating pricing, cost optimization, portfolio expansion opportunities, and market trends
- Represent the managed services portfolio during product release cycles to ensure alignment with new product capabilities
- Translate customer and internal stakeholder requirements into roadmap enhancements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration, or equivalent industry experience
- 10+ years in telecommunications and/or technology
- 3+ years of Product Line Management experience
- High‑level understanding of Layer 0–3 networking technologies and Ciena solutions (6500, Routing & Switching, MCP)
- Ability to develop and assess commercial deal sheets, P&Ls, and business financials
- Proven ability to work from broad direction and independently drive tasks to completion
- Experience supporting globally distributed teams
- Graduate-level education in Engineering or Business Administration
- Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, sales, and customer teams
- Strategic and creative thinking with strong business acumen
- Knowledge of service provider core network architectures and business models
- Ability to quickly assess and interpret customer requirements
- Strong time‑management skills to balance shifting priorities
- Flexibility to work across time zones and travel up to 20%
The annual pay range for this position in Canada is C$114,100 – C$182,300.
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission. In addition to competitive compensation, Ciena offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, participation in 401(K) (USA) & DCPP (Canada) with company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company-paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
