Job Description:

Baptist Health is looking for a Manager, Accounts Payable to join our team! This is a remote work from home position that requires residency in KY or IN

The Accounts Payable Manager for Baptist Health is responsible for managing the accounts payable functions and daily activities including but not limited to staff hiring and development, vendor relations, invoice processing, travel and expense, 1099 reporting, and payment disbursements in accordance with established policies and department best practices. Provides management and direction to the Accounts Payable Supervisors and team members by providing instruction and mentoring. Ensures the Accounts Payable team delivers support and timely response to payables inquiries while maintaining strong working relationships within the department as well as other departments and suppliers through an emphasis on collaboration and positive customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent college level courses in accounting.

  • 5-8 years' experience supervising or managing and leading a large accounts payable team in a high-volume, electronic processing environment including T&E in lieu of degree.

  • Experience in a shared service, multi-location environment preferred.

  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and in-depth knowledge of accounts payable procedures and best practices preferred.

  • Experience with 1099 IRS reporting requirements preferred.

  • Hands-on management with demonstrated ability to train and mentor applying strong attention to process improvements and team performance preferred.

  • Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel with ability to perform VLookups and create pivot tables as well as experience in accounts payable related software such as PeopleSoft, Oracle, or Workday preferred.

  • Professional certifications a plus, but not required (e.g., Certified Accounts Payable Practitioner (CAPP), Certified Accounts, Payable Associate (CAPA), Certified Accounts Payable Specialist (CAPS), Microsoft Certified Accounts Payable Specialist, Certified Management Accountant (CMA)).
