Responsibilities:
The Manager, Cross Channel Planning is expected to have a strong working knowledge of the media space (all channels, commerce/shopper a bonus) and available media tools & research. They are also responsible for developing their direct report’s skills, evaluating their performance and managing their growth.
- Serves as key point of contact for client teams for ad hoc requests, day-to-day tactical questions
- Develops and presents paid media recommendations & POVs to clients
- Serves as point person on many cross-team projects including campaign planning
- Translates deep audience understanding & communications strategies to paid media channel allocations (media mix), flighting strategies and optimal environments, context and formats for paid media to play
- Manages client budgets through flowcharts, media authorizations and financial trackers
- Accountable for planning team work including QAing budgets and media math as relevant
- Coordinates with peers to ensure consistency in ways of working (process, tools & platforms, people)
- Manages resources & helps team members prioritize work. Delegates work appropriate based on bandwidth and ability
- Maintains positive team culture and working environment
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of media planning experience with strong agency background
- Previous client exposure including direct client communication and management
- Previous management experience – has managed others (delegation and workload management, project-based feedback, performance reviews, etc.)
- Ability to manage peers in collaborative workstreams and environments
- Excels at media fundamentals and can instruct others on it
- Expert in utilizing media tools and resources (proprietary, syndicated, etc.) to develop & support audience-first, data-driven paid media recommendations
- Can draw insights out of data that leads to implications for brands, marketing and media plans
- Advanced level media math skills
- Excellent financial management skills, including producing and/or QAing flowcharts, budget documents and media authorizations
- Has a strong point of view on what good work looks like
- Has knowledge & understanding of current trends and innovations in media
- Comfortable with basic data, analytics, and measurement concepts
- Gets energy from working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
