ThriftBooks is seeking a Performance Marketing Manager to help drive and optimize performance across our digital marketing channels. This role blends hands-on performance marketing expertise with strong analytical and technical capabilities, using data to uncover trends, diagnose performance changes, identify opportunities, and turn insights into action.

The ideal candidate brings ecommerce experience, a strong understanding of digital marketing measurement and conversion tracking, and the ability to work directly with large datasets. Strong SQL skills, analytical curiosity, and the ability to translate complex marketing data into clear business recommendations are essential for success in this role.


What You Will Do:

  • Analyze marketing performance across multiple digital channels, including revenue, ROAS, acquisition, conversion, spend efficiency, and other key KPIs.
  • Use SQL and analytical tools to combine data sources, investigate trends, diagnose performance changes, and answer complex business questions.
  • Turn data into action by identifying opportunities, risks, and clear recommendations to improve marketing performance.
  • Design and evaluate marketing tests, including hypotheses, success metrics, measurement plans, and post-test analysis.
  • Improve reporting and measurement to make marketing insights more accurate, scalable, and actionable.
  • Support conversion tracking and measurement, including Google Tag Manager, platform tracking, QA, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage and optimize assigned channels and campaigns, executing strategies and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead projects and collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Analytics, Data, Technology, agencies, vendors, and other partners.

Location: This is a hybrid position with in-person days in Tukwila, WA.

Base Salary: $95,000- $120,000/yr. This range reflects the good-faith hiring base salary range for this position. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications such as skills, experience, and education/training.

Qualifications

What You Will Need: 

  • Experience in ecommerce performance marketing, with exposure to multiple paid or measurable digital marketing channels.
  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to independently query, join, manipulate, and analyze large datasets.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using marketing and business data to identify trends, diagnose performance changes, and recommend actions.
  • Strong understanding of performance marketing metrics, including revenue, ROAS, conversion rate, customer acquisition, and media efficiency.
  • Experience developing, executing, or evaluating marketing tests and experiments.
  • Experience building and maintaining recurring reports, analyses, or dashboards.
  • Working knowledge of Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, QA, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort working across multiple data sources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience improving or scaling marketing analytics, reporting, or measurement processes, including automation of recurring analysis.
  • Experience working with cloud data warehouses or large-scale marketing datasets.
  • Hands-on experience with platforms such as Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta Ads, Google Analytics 4, and Google Tag Manager.
  • Experience with BI and visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience with attribution, incrementality testing, customer-level analysis, or advanced marketing measurement.
  • Experience partnering with Data, Analytics, Engineering, or Technology teams on tracking, data collection, measurement, or reporting initiatives.
  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, affiliate platforms, or marketing technology partners.
