About the role

Location: US (remote)

Reports to: General Manager, US

Type: Full-time

You own how WeRoad shows up on social media in the US. You'll set the strategy, build the system behind it (style guide, templates, sourcing plan, calendar), then run it every day: scheduling, posting, community, and the honest read on what's working. This is a builder's role: no legacy playbook, a lot of content to orchestrate across HQ, creators, and the US team, and a weekly rhythm you set. You report directly to the General Manager US and work closely with the HQ Content team, who set global brand standards and supply part of the content you'll schedule.

What you'll own

Strategy & foundation

  • Social strategy: co-create a one-page US social strategy with the GM and team: objectives, audience, KPIs.

  • Content mix: define the sourcing ratios so there's always a clear place to pull from to fill the calendar.

  • Style guide: build the social style guide: logos, typefaces, colors, sizes.

  • Template system: design formats for every content type: Stories, Reels, posts, carousels, intro and outro clips.

  • Asset system: organize every approved asset in one system (Google Drive and/or Canva) so anyone on the team can find and use it.

  • Built to scale: start with Instagram, but build every piece to replicate on TikTok and Facebook.

Content sourcing & planning

  • Content calendar: own it, end to end.

  • Sourcing plan: know where every piece of content comes from, and make sure it shows up on time.

  • Creators & UGC: find and manage influencers; secure UGC and the rights to use it.

  • Video editors: direct editors with clear creative briefs.

  • Weekly social rhythm: run the weekly meeting so every team is aligned and content is previewed before it goes live.

Execution

  • Master schedule: oversee the master schedule in Metricool, including HQ-sourced posts.

  • Publishing: schedule and post across channels.

  • Community: respond and manage engagement day to day, in WeRoad's tone of voice.

  • Performance: track results and feed what you learn back into the strategy.

What you'll be measured on

  • US audience growth and engagement rate on Instagram, then TikTok and Facebook.

  • Calendar health: posting consistency, and content landing from the planned sources on schedule.

  • Traffic and booking intent driven by social.

  • Community responsiveness: quality engagement and qualitative sentiment analysis.

What you bring

  • You've built a social program from scratch: style guide, templates, sourcing plan, calendar. Not just posted into someone else's.

  • A strong eye and hands-on tools: Canva, CapCut or similar, and Metricool or another scheduling and analytics platform.

  • Creator experience: you can find influencers, negotiate, and secure UGC rights.

  • You can brief a video editor and get back what you asked for.

  • An operator's brain: you run meetings, keep asset libraries clean, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.

  • A voice that fits ours: friendly, a little ironic, human.

  • Analytical honesty: you report what's working and what isn't, and change course.

  • Authorized to work in the US.

What we offer

  • Compensation: $80k

  • 401(k) with employer matching

  • Health & Dental insurance

  • $1,400/year travel discount on WeRoad trips!

About WeRoad

WeRoad is a tech-enabled group-travel company built on one idea: the people you travel with matter more than the place. We put small groups of solo travelers on curated 7- to 10-day trips, led by trained Group Leaders, and they come home with a new set of friends. Founded in Italy, now ~€130M+ in revenue across Europe, we're launching nationwide in the United States.

We don't act like a tour operator, and we don't want to be mistaken for one. No palm trees, no stock-photo sunsets, no "book now" shouting. Our voice is friendly, a little ironic, and human. We earn attention by being culturally relevant, not by chasing people with ads. If "we attract, we don't chase" resonates with you, keep reading.

Sounds exciting? Check out our Culture Manifesto!

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
