About This Role:
We are seeking a highly responsible, detail‑oriented engineering leader who combines strong hands‑on software development expertise. This role focuses on building and maintaining complex, large‑scale client applications and distributed systems while managing and mentoring technical team members. You will work within established codebases and architectures, emphasizing stability, reliability, data integrity, and long‑term maintainability. The ideal candidate is comfortable navigating technical constraints, proactively identifying risks, and collaborating cross‑functionally to deliver high‑quality, scalable solutions.
What You’ll Do:

  • Lead product development initiatives and translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Contribute to long‑term architecture, system reliability, and overall technical strategy.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance web and software applications using React (including Class Components), JavaScript/TypeScript, Redux, C#, ASP.NET Core, and SQL Server.
  • Implement and support authentication workflows (MSAL, Okta).
  • Support and troubleshoot build, release, deployment, and production processes.
  • Mentor and manage developers and/or QA team members, including code reviews and task guidance.
  • Ensure technical quality, and guide teams toward high performance.
  • Collaborate across engineering and business groups to solve problems and deliver key projects.
  • Identify and mitigate risks proactively.
  • Manage multiple projects and ensure timely, stable delivery across cloud environments, including Azure App Services, App Registrations, and File Storage.

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with 5+ years of experience; or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of systems development experience
  • 3-5 years’ experience with Comscore offerings and research methods
  • 1-2 years’ experience supervising and/or mentoring others
  • Experience aggregating data and working with massive amounts of data
  • Proficient in several software languages
  • Leadership and strategic vision
  • Strong communication skills
  • Salary: $153,000-$165,000; Commensurate with experience.

Required Technical Skills

Frontend & Application Development

  • Strong expertise in React (preferred: Class Components) and Redux
  • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience with CSS, NPM/Node, and Webpack
  • Implementing authentication with MSAL and/or Okta

Backend & Server‑Side Technologies

  • C#, ASP.NET Core APIs
  • SQL Server 2016+

DevOps & Deployment

  • Build and release pipelines, including YAML‑based configurations
  • Variable management, release triggers, and approval workflows
  • Diagnosing build/deployment failures
  • Deployments to cloud environments

Microsoft Azure

  • Azure App Services
  • App Registrations
  • File Storage (including mounted storage)
