Manager, Technical Operations [Remote-US]

We are looking to add a Manager, Technical Operations, responsible for overseeing production operations, leading incident management for internal/external solutions and platforms, driving FinOps for our software and technical solutions, and coordinating the creation and upkeep of our business continuity and disaster recovery framework.

1. Establish processes and define key metrics to measure the health and success of Quanata's incident management program, driving continuous improvement.
2. Develop and implement FinOps strategies to optimize the cost-effectiveness of our software and technical infrastructure, providing insights and recommendations for efficiency improvements.
3. Define and enforce standards for the comprehensive monitoring of production systems and platforms to ensure overall business health and proactively identify potential issues.
4. Collaborate with engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure operational readiness for new deployments and ongoing platform maintenance.
5. Oversee  the planning, development, and execution of Quanata's disaster recovery program, including testing and documentation.
6. Collaborate with engineering, product, and other cross-functional teams to ensure operational readiness for new deployments and ongoing platform maintenance.
7. Establish and maintain key operational metrics and reporting to track performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement across technical operations.
8. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for operational procedures, incident management protocols, and disaster recovery plans.
9. Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers related to technical operations.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience and;
• 4 - 6 years of relevant experience in technical operations, SRE, etc., to include:
• 2 or more years experience managing engineering teams
• 2 or more years experience in cloud operations
• Demonstrated experience managing cross-organizational projects and workstreams
• Proven Project and Process Management experience including document creation and status tracking

• Experience working in AWS and GCP
• Experience working in regulated industries
• Insurance industry experience
• 4 years experience managing engineering teams

Salary: $150,000 to $185,000*

*Please note that the final salary offered will be determined based on the selected candidate's skills, and experience, as well as the internal salary structure at Quanata. • Location: We are a remote-first company for most positions so you may work from anywhere you like in the U.S, excluding U.S. territories. For most positions, occasional travel may be requested or encouraged but is not required. Some positions might require travel per the job description provided to the employee. Employees based in the San Francisco Bay Area or in Providence, Rhode Island may commute to one of our local offices as desired.  
• Hours: We maintain core meeting hours from 9AM - 2PM Pacific time for collaborating with team members across all time zones.
