SALARY: $82,500 - $93,000, bonus eligible

ROLE SUMMARY: As the Trade Marketing Manager at Elysian Brewing, you play a crucial role in developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to boost brand awareness and drive sales in the competitive craft beer industry. Collaborating with marketing teammates, sales teams, internal stakeholders, network distributors, and external partners and properties, your focus is on creating impactful trade marketing programs and activations aligned with the Elysian Brewing master brand and Elysian's family of brands. Your duties include managing at-retail Point-of-Consumer Materials, retail programming, sweeps, couponing, program and brand sales tools, and overseeing merchandise procurement for both on- and off-premise trimester programming. Additionally, you provide vital support to the sales team, addressing additional requests such as off-cycle programming, partner programming, mobile asset, sponsorship activation and venue execution. Moreover, you oversee asset management across various digital platforms, ensuring Elysian brand and trade assets are organized, up-to-date and easily accessible. JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop and administer a strategic promotional plan (using trade assets and merchandise) in coordination with the overarching annual plan for the brewery and key brands. This plan will include channel architecture, asset coordination and development, and partnering with brand team in creating route to market and consumer journey insights and plans.

  • Work collaboratively with the other functional teams within the broader Elysian and Craft West brand marketing organization to ensure alignment with overarching brand, media, comms and in-market activation plans.

  • Execute against the brand calendar, including experiential pulse points, trade tactics, programming, and promotion.

  • Partner with the brand team to build trade and brand activations that leverage a wide variety of sponsorships with properties, brands and creators, including trade assets for on/off premise, event activations and more.

  • Work in coordination with the Craft West Sales Team and assist in their sales efforts both within the wholesaler network and in-market through cohesive trade, POCM, on/off premise tools, and programming strategies.

  • Liaison with the Anheuser-Busch Commercial Strategy Office on executional tactics and strategic planning for trade and merchandise programs, leveraging all available insights to make data-led creative and resource-allocation decisions.

  • Work in collaboration with Craft West’s creative team and Elysian’s trade agencies on the development of annual/trimester trade playbooks, messaging, overall look/feel of the brand at trade, and campaign execution, monitoring and reporting on the effectiveness and leveraging data and insights to develop creative new ideas.

  • Develop clear, cohesive brand briefs for cross-functional collaboration with the marketing org and relevant agencies. Present ideas, concepts and strategies to the Brand Team, Sales Team & relevant Anheuser-Busch stakeholders.

  • Lead procurement strategy and execution for promotional and trade merchandise for buying windows and year-round on-demand, as well as the development of new items designed to engage with the Elysian consumer.

  • Management and organization of all trade assets across digital platforms, ensuring that all relevant visual/graphical assets are up-to-date and readily available.

  • Strong strategic communication internally and externally ensuring the Elysian’s brands are represented as best-in-class across all channels.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.

  • 5+ years experience required with a background in marketing, trade marketing or merchandising.

  • Experience working in alcoholic beverages or CPG a plus. 

  • Awareness of the craft beer consumer, and adult beverage industry is a plus.

  • Ability to balance the pressure of high-volume productivity with outstanding quality of work.

  • Ability to manage a broad portfolio of activations, assets, and campaigns.

  • Proven ability to manage event and/or activation production with heavy emphasis on consumer engagement.

  • Experience managing external client teams and/or agencies, with a keen ability to drive engagement and performance.

  • Skillful at presenting information effectively and clearly; not fearful of presenting ideas or plans to a group of stakeholders or driving excitement through presenting ideas internally.

  • Experience in trade marketing, merchandising, e-commerce or other CPG companies.

  • Creative, resourceful, attention to detail, self-motivated, and is able to handle multiple issues at once while helping contribute to a positive work environment.

  • Excellent time and project management skills, written, and verbal communications skills.
