We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior Sales Professional with proven experience in executing field sales methodologies. This role relies heavily on outbound efforts for lead generation, engagement, establishing relationships, and closing deals on the ground. As the Market Manager for the Mountain West / Midwest region, you will be the face of our brand in a high-growth territory.

Responsibilities
  • Territory Strategy: Create and execute a comprehensive territory plan to build and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, ensuring attainment of individual revenue targets.
  • Community Integration: Lead generation while becoming a central figure in the local business community within the short-term rental (STR) and property management sphere.
  • Outreach Excellence: Develop a contact and call strategy to achieve and exceed targets. This includes daily outreach using discovery, value pitching, and compelling closing statements.
  • Product Demos: Conduct high-impact, live product demonstrations both in-person and via video calls.
  • CRM Management: Manage all prospect communication and your sales pipeline diligently in Salesforce.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key prospects and stakeholders in your target list.
  • Contracting: Negotiate contracts and manage the legal/financial hurdles to getting a deal across the finish line.
  • Market Intelligence: Research your target market and provide ongoing feedback to relevant global teams (Product, Marketing, Sales, and Strategy) regarding local U.S. trends.
  • Field Presence: Represent the company at regional and national trade shows and industry events.
Requirements
  • Location: Must be based in the Mountain West or Midwest region with a deep understanding of the local geography and market dynamics.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in Travel / Hospitality tech sales is a MUST. Deep knowledge of the U.S. short-term rental industry and property management landscape is strongly preferred.
  • Sales Background: 5+ years of experience in Technological Sales with a specific focus on SaaS (Software as a Service) — this is a MUST.
  • Sales Mastery: Mastery of sales techniques, including cold calling, complex objection handling, and full-cycle pipeline management.
  • Strategic Mindset: Skilled in prospecting and eager to hunt for new opportunities; you are a self-starter who doesn't wait for leads to come to you.
  • Persistence: A proven track record of follow-up and persistence when facing challenging or long-cycle sales situations.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to "read the room" in diverse outbound settings.
  • CRM Proficiency: High level of comfort with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
  • The "Closer" Mentality: You are a closer at heart with a competitive nature and a strong work ethic.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
