Resource Innovations is seeking Marketing & Account Executive for Energy Efficiency Programs to join our growing team in Chicago. As a Marketing Account Executive with Resource Innovations, you will create new and innovative ways to reach utility client customers and educate them on ways to effectively participate in utility energy efficiency programs. In this role, you will support the creation and execution of strategic marketing plans and campaigns for utility outreach teams. You will support event planning and management (in person trade shows, presentations, webinars, etc.) and associated data and reporting.  You will manage utility program accounts that require strong collaboration across internal and external teams. You will operate both strategically and tactically, thinking big while having meticulous attention to detail. This role requires excellent communication, ownership of client relationships and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed campaign project plans, creative briefs, and digital strategies, including campaign goals, messaging for advertisements, newsletters, case studies, and webinars, calls to action, segmentation, marketing distribution channels, and campaign schedules
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships 
  • Grow existing local professional groups and association relationships and identify new customer engagement and marketing opportunities
  • Manage and build a master outreach event calendar for utility client outreach, including associated budget planning and forecasting 
  • Manage and coordinate customer-facing slide deck presentation and webinar content and delivery  
  • Support event selection, planning, day-of support, debrief and reporting 
  • Utilize Salesforce account data to track outreach event efficacy and develop data-driven marketing plans in support of client goals
  • Manage risk analysis by looking for and reporting potential roadblocks to budget, resources, and timelines
  • Ensure each deliverable of the marketing plan aligns with the client goals and is reportable
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to associate marketing support members
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (BBA, BA, or BS) in Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism or related field or equivalent experience required 
  • 3-5 years of professional marketing experience (energy sector experience is a plus) 
  • Previous experience managing clients and/or stakeholders
  • Experience with Salesforce, Smartsheet and proficiency in project management skills (experience with Wrike or other PMS systems is a plus)
  • Able to learn new tools and technologies quickly and use them proficiently (e.g., Microsoft Suite, SharePoint, and Salesforce). 
  • Excellent written and oral communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Expert knowledge of and expertise in Microsoft Suite 
  • Marketing/Sales experience preferred. 
  • Previous energy efficiency or associated energy and technology related experience preferred 
  • Must be able to travel locally, up to approximately 20% of the time (mainly day travel for in person events).
