Description

The Marketing Creative Manager owns the connective tissue between what Grundens makes, what Grundens says, and how customers, retailers, and the public see and read about it. This person plans and runs marketing campaigns end to end, owns content across channels — including directing photo content in studio and in the field — and writes and manages the copy that carries the brand voice everywhere it shows up. Reporting directly to the VP of Marketing, this is a hands-on role: you'll set the plan and also execute a meaningful share of the work yourself.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Management

  • Plan, build, and manage integrated marketing campaigns across email, paid and organic social, retail/wholesale marketing, and web — from brief through post-launch reporting.
  • Set campaign calendars and timelines, coordinate with design, product, and sales, and keep every workstream on schedule and on budget.
  • Define campaign goals and KPIs, track performance, and turn results into clear recommendations for what to run next.

Content

  • Own the content calendar and drive planning for photo, video, and paid media content across the brand.
  • Build, manage, and advance photography and videography regional network in support of product, campaign, brand, sales, and company asset generation. Ensuring network is on brand, connected to our communities, and aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Manage photo and video content end to end — planning, briefing, and managing external partners in studio product and field shoot asset generation; reviewing deliverables for brand and quality fit.
  • Maintain an organized, searchable photo and content library so assets are easy to find and reuse across teams.

Copy

  • Write and edit copy across every channel — website, email, social, catalogs, product pages, and retail/dealer materials.
  • Maintain a consistent Grundens voice and editorial standard across every channel and touchpoint.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Service so messaging and terminology stay aligned company-wide.
  • Proofread and fact-check outgoing copy before it ships.

Additional InformationQualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing communications, brand marketing, or content marketing, ideally with campaign ownership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of campaign, content, or PR work you can point to.
  • Experience or comfortable with integrating generative AI tools (Adobe Firefly, Midjourney, or similar) into creative workflows to accelerate ideation, explore concept directions, and build visual references.
  • Proven project management skills — comfortable running multiple campaigns and deadlines at once with minimal oversight.
  • Working knowledge of email platforms, CMS tools, social scheduling tools, and basic campaign analytics.
  • Experience planning and managing photo content, including both studio and on-location/field shoots.
  • A collaborative, low-ego approach to working on a small team where everyone pitches in beyond their job title.
Preferred
  • Experience in outdoor, workwear, apparel, or lifestyle brands.
  • Familiarity with wholesale/dealer marketing and co-op programs.
  • Direct experience art-directing or producing photo/video shoots, in a studio or in the field.

Work location: Hybrid, will require routine drivable travel to Poulsbo HQ.

Compensation: This role can expect to earn between $100,000 – $120,000 annually.

Benefits: Grundens offers a generous benefits package that includes the following:

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
