At SOPHiA GENETICS, we are building the future of AI-assisted, data-driven medicine. Our technology helps healthcare professionals make sense of complex data, with the ambition of improving outcomes for patients with cancer and rare diseases.
From major European scientific conferences to our own Innovation Summit, we bring together researchers, healthcare professionals, industry experts and customers to share knowledge and explore what's next in data-driven medicine.
But marketing is also about how we tell our story, create meaningful content and bring our brand to life.
And you could be part of both.
Join our EMEA Marketing team for a six-month internship and get hands-on experience across two areas of marketing: Events and Marketing Content/Brand Projects.
You'll help support our 2027 Innovation Summit, our own annual flagship international event as well as major scientific conferences such as ESHG, AMP Europe and EHA. These events bring together thousands of attendees from across the scientific and healthcare communities, creating opportunities to exchange knowledge, showcase innovation and build meaningful connections.
At the same time, you'll contribute to our strategic marketing initiatives, including the rollout of our refreshed brand, content creation, curation and organization of marketing resources.
You'll get to experience how marketing works from different perspectives - from organising end-to-end an international event to managing the content that brings our brand to life.
What you'll work on
This internship will offer a dual marketing rotation, giving you the opportunity to contribute to two complementary areas of our Marketing function.
Events & Field Marketing
  • Help bring our 2027 Innovation Summit to life. Support the event from early planning through execution, including coordination, logistics, marketing activities and follow-up.
  • Get involved in major and regional European conferences. Contribute to the preparation and delivery of scientific congresses and regional events, supporting the many moving parts behind successful events.
  • Make the details count. Help coordinate event logistics, materials, inventory, timelines and practical arrangements to ensure everything is ready when it needs to be.
  • Support event marketing and communication. Contribute to promotional activities, social media content and marketing materials that help us connect with our audiences before, during and after events.
  • Work across teams. Collaborate with colleagues from Marketing, Commercial and other functions, as well as external vendors and stakeholders helping align priorities and keeping everyone informed.
  • Keep projects moving. Follow up on tasks, track deadlines, coordinate stakeholders and help solve the unexpected challenges that come with organizing international events.

Marketing Content & Brand Project
  • Help bring our refreshed brand to life. Support the rollout of our rebranding initiatives by helping update marketing materials and ensuring content reflects our evolving brand identity.
  • Get involved in content creation and update. Contribute to the development and adaptation of marketing content for different channels, audiences and campaigns.
  • Support our content audit. Review existing marketing materials, identify content that needs updating and help ensure our resources remain relevant, accurate and consistent.
  • Keep our marketing resources organized. Help manage, update and structure our content libraries and storage systems so teams can easily find and use the materials they need.
  • Contribute to social media activities. Support the preparation, coordination and organization of content for our social media channels.
  • Collaborate on marketing projects. Work with different members of the Marketing team to support ongoing initiatives, coordinate deliverables and bring ideas into action.

Through both rotations, you'll discover how events, brand, content and communication work together to create a consistent and engaging experience for our audiences.
Requirements
You might be studying Marketing, Communications, Event Management, Life Science, Project Management or a related field.
You don't need to have organized an international conference or managed a major marketing campaign before. We're looking for someone who is curious, creative, organized and eager to learn, with an interest in exploring different sides of marketing.
You'll probably enjoy this internship if:
  • You love organizing things. Whether it's a university event, a group project or something outside your studies, you enjoy planning, coordinating and making sure the details are taken care of.
  • You're interested in marketing and communication. You want to understand how brands connect with their audiences through events, content, storytelling and digital channels.
  • You enjoy creating content. Whether it's presentations, social media posts, visuals or other marketing materials, you like turning ideas into something engaging and easy to understand.
  • You're comfortable juggling different priorities. You can keep track of multiple tasks, deadlines and stakeholders without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • You're a natural collaborator. You enjoy working with different people and know that successful projects depend on good communication and teamwork.
  • You have an eye for detail. You care about how things look, how information is presented and whether content is accurate, consistent and well organized.
  • You take initiative. When you notice something needs to be done, you're happy to step in, suggest solutions and help move things forward.
  • You're curious about an international environment. The opportunity to work with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries and functions excites you.

Previous experience with event organization, content creation, social media, marketing tools or project coordination is an advantage, but your motivation, creativity, organizational skills and willingness to learn are just as important.
