Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Marketing Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies to drive subscriber acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role requires a creative thinker with strong analytical skills and a passion for renewable energy. Based in Chicago.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to create and oversee the production of marketing materials, such as brochures, flyers, and presentations.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans to promote community solar subscription.
  • Manage digital marketing campaigns through agencies, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, direct mail and content marketing.
  • Develop ABM outbound campaigns for B2B and B2C audiences that generate new business partners leading to anchor and mass market subscribers.
  • Manage the HubSpot system and team, create nurture campaigns, develop communication workflows, and utilize system tools to secure and retain subscribers.
  • Conduct market research to identify target audiences and understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop lead generation strategies and support sales initiatives.
  • Monitor, analyze and report on marketing performance metrics to optimize campaigns and improve ROI.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including agencies, graphic designers, and printers.
  • Plan and execute community outreach events and promotional activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in community solar, renewable energy and marketing.
  • Supervise Marketing support staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in a subscription based business or start-up environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing campaigns for intangible products.
  • Proven track record of coordinating multiple agencies and partners to execute campaigns and strategies.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels and tools.
  • Proficiency using HubSpot.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in marketing analytics tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for renewable energy and sustainability.
