About Northwest Playground Equipment, Inc.

At Northwest Playground Equipment, we believe play is a universal language that inspires community. The playground is where we learn resilience, collaboration, creativity, and confidence. No matter where you come from, what language you speak, or what abilities you bring, play dissolves barriers and connects us through shared discovery.
Since 1996, our family-owned and operated company has partnered with cities, schools, parks, and community organizations across Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, and Montana to design and build outdoor spaces that foster connection and belonging.
Our purpose is simple: to create spaces that bring people together through play. From playground equipment and safety surfacing to site furnishings and interactive environments, we provide turn-key solutions that transform ideas into places where friendships form, confidence grows, and communities grow stronger together.

About the Role

We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Marketing Manager to lead and execute Northwest Playground’s marketing initiatives. This role blends marketing leadership, channel management, and project coordination to ensure consistent brand storytelling and effective campaign execution across platforms.

This role requires someone with a strong marketing foundation who understands multi-channel, B2B marketing and can contribute strategic input, identify opportunities, and help evolve marketing efforts over time.
The ideal candidate brings experience in a small- to mid-size agency or growing in-house marketing team and is organized, proactive, digitally fluent, capable of balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution, and passionate about furthering our mission of building community through play.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
