About the job

Goods & Services is looking for a Staff-to-Senior level Marketing Specialist to lead our comprehensive marketing strategy and execution. This is a pivotal role that sits at the intersection of brand growth, data analysis, and content production. You will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our marketing efforts, supporting Goods & Services through branding, culture-building, and People Ops initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who isn't afraid to be "hands-on" with content creation and has a proven track record in the IT/Tech industry.

What you’ll do:

  • Drive brand growth by executing high-impact campaigns focused on Brand Awareness, Engagement, and Lead Generation-
  • Develop and manage all content for Goods & Services, including branding materials, culture-focused storytelling, and talent management/People Ops content.
  • Oversee and optimize all company channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and our Website, ensuring a consistent and professional brand presence.
  • Act as the primary liaison with our main studio supplier, managing collaborative workflows and ensuring brand alignment.
  • Analyze consumer data and campaign performance to pivot strategies and maximize impact.
  • Direct responsibility for managing and staying within the allocated marketing budget.
  • Balance high-level strategy with the day-to-day operational tasks required to keep marketing efforts running smoothly.

What you’ll need:

  • 3 – 5+ years of experience in marketing roles.
  • Strong background in the IT sector or industries aligned with Goods & Services.
  • Demonstrated ability to create compelling content. While we are open to your specific toolkit (Photoshop, AI tools, or Graphic Design software), you must show a high level of proficiency and professional output.
  • Strong experience in data consumption. We want to understand how you use data and BI tools to drive marketing decisions.
  • Proven success managing professional social media profiles (specifically LinkedIn and Instagram) and web platforms.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
