Job Description

Bulletproof is seeking a Marketplace Business Manager to support the growth and operational excellence of our Marketplace business across Amazon, Walmart, and emerging ecommerce channels.

 

Reporting to the Director of Marketplaces, this role will serve as a key business partner responsible for helping execute marketplace growth strategies, managing day-to-day marketplace operations, and ensuring the business is positioned to achieve revenue, profitability, and customer acquisition goals.

 

The Marketplace Business Manager will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, and Customer Experience teams to support forecasting, promotional planning, new product launches, content optimization, subscription growth, and marketplace account health.

 

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. They enjoy turning data into actionable insights, managing multiple priorities simultaneously, and driving execution across a broad set of initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Marketplace Business Management

  • Support the Director of Marketplaces in achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals.
  • Monitor marketplace performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reviews with actionable recommendations.
  • Analyze category trends, competitive activity, pricing, promotions, and marketplace performance.
  • Track key business KPIs including Revenue, TACoS, ROAS, Market Share, Subscribe & Save performance, inventory health, and forecast accuracy.

Forecasting & Inventory Planning

  • Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance teams to support item-level forecasting and S&OP planning.
  • Monitor inventory levels, weeks of supply, and potential stock risks.
  • Support demand planning for new product launches, promotional events, and seasonal opportunities.
  • Help identify inventory risks and recommend mitigation plans.

Promotions & Marketplace Execution

  • Manage promotional calendars across Amazon, Walmart, and other marketplace partners.
  • Execute Best Deals, Lightning Deals, Coupons, Subscribe & Save offers, and tentpole event activations.
  • Track trade spend performance and promotional effectiveness.
  • Support Prime Day, Cyber Week, and other key marketplace events.

Product Launches & Assortment

  • Coordinate new product launches including setup, content readiness, forecasting, advertising support, and Vine programs.
  • Support assortment optimization initiatives and SKU rationalization efforts.
  • Monitor launch performance and provide recommendations for optimization.

Content & Marketplace Optimization

  • Manage listing health and marketplace account health.
  • Coordinate product content updates, image refreshes, A+ Content, Brand Store enhancements, and SEO optimizations.
  • Support PDP testing initiatives including titles, bullets, imagery, and conversion optimization efforts.
  • Assist with reseller monitoring and marketplace compliance initiatives.

Subscription & Customer Growth

  • Support Subscribe & Save growth initiatives and reporting.
  • Monitor subscriber acquisition, retention, and category-level subscription performance.
  • Help identify opportunities to increase recurring revenue and customer lifetime value.
  • Track key customer acquisition and retention metrics.

Cross-Functional Project Management

  • Serve as a liaison between Marketplaces, Growth Marketing, Operations, Finance, Analytics, and Customer Experience teams.
  • Coordinate execution of key marketplace initiatives and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Support ad hoc analysis and special projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience managing Amazon, Walmart, or other ecommerce marketplace businesses.
  • Strong knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and Amazon Advertising.
  • Walmart and other Retailers Marketplaces experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and communicate actionable insights.
  • Experience working with forecasting, inventory planning, promotional management, and ecommerce reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.

Additional Information

Annual base salary gross: $100,000 - $125,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position.  The base salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
