We are seeking an experienced Product Design Engineer to lead the design and development of innovative electro-mechanical products aligned with the product roadmap. This role focuses on building high-performance solutions for advanced engineering applications across industries such as medical devices, robotics, aerospace, and defense. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in product design, mechanical engineering principles, and manufacturing processes, with a passion for developing reliable, scalable, and high-quality products from concept through production.
RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end product design and development for complex electro-mechanical systems and assemblies.
- Design machined, stamped, formed, and molded components while considering manufacturability, quality, and cost optimization.
- Apply engineering principles including DFMEA and reliability engineering to improve product performance and reduce design risks.
- Develop detailed 3D models, drawings, and prototypes using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or similar platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and supply chain to ensure successful product development and launch.
- Support tooling, fixturing, and assembly process design to improve manufacturing efficiency and simplify production workflows.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and design optimization during manufacturing and assembly stages.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, quality systems, and regulatory requirements including ISO 13485 where applicable.
- Participate in product testing, validation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong experience in mechanical product design and development, particularly in electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Hands-on expertise in CAD/CAM tools and solid understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM) principles.
- Experience with DFMEA, failure analysis, and reliability-focused engineering practices.
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes including machining, molding, stamping, forming, and secondary finishing.
- Familiarity with medical device standards such as ISO 13485 is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate effectively with engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Experience in regulated industries such as medical devices, robotics, aerospace, or defense is a strong advantage.
