How This Role Makes a Difference

 The Media Production Operations Lead oversees media production operations, aligning strategy, teams, vendors, and distribution. 

How You'll Make An Impact
  • Translate strategic vision into operational plans and actionable priorities.  
  • Oversee daily operations across producers, videographers, and coordinators, ensuring smooth workflow, adherence to deadlines, and high-quality output.  
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine processes, workflows, and operational systems to maximize efficiency, scalability, and consistency in media production.  
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Media Production Studio and internal stakeholders, facilitating clear communication, and alignment. 
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and KPIs, providing actionable insights and regular reporting to the Head of Media Production.  
  • Issue weekly or monthly reports and updates for the Head of Media Production Studio  
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and freelancers ensuring consistent timely delivery and cost-effective execution.  
  • Identify operational bottlenecks, proactively troubleshoot issues, and escalate when necessary to maintain smooth execution of projects.  
  • Drive planning efforts within the department, including goal-setting, resource planning, and prioritization of initiatives.  
  • Ensure that media content is not only produced but effectively promoted, distributed, and tracked across all relevant channels and platforms, including OTT services, TV, Cable networks, and film festival circuits.  
  • Oversee promotional campaigns for media content, ensuring visibility, audience engagement, and brand alignment across OTT, TV/Cable, and festival platforms.  
  • Lead the strategy and execution of film festival submissions, screenings, and festival-related promotions, maximizing exposure and opportunities for the organization’s content.  
  • Act as a decision-maker in the absence of the Head of Media Production, exercising judgment and discretion in operational and strategic matters.  
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for departmental growth, innovation, and optimization of media production capabilities.  
  • Facilitate vendor negotiations, contracts, and service-level agreements, ensuring strategic alignment with departmental goals.  
  • Support talent management initiatives, including recruitment, and onboarding for media production team.  
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging media technologies, and best practices to inform department strategy and maintain competitive advantage.  
  • Serve as an ambassador for the department’s culture, values, and strategic priorities across the organization. 
The Expertise Required
  • 6+ years of experience in management, with demonstrated ownership of complex, multi-channel content initiatives. 
  • Proven ability to translate strategic objectives into operational plans, workflows, and measurable outcomes. 
  • Demonstrated success managing timelines, budgets, KPIs, and performance reporting in a fast-paced production environment. 
  • Strong project and resource planning skills, with the ability to prioritize initiatives and allocate resources effectively. 
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience serving as a primary point of contact between creative teams, leadership, and partners. 
  • Experience negotiating vendor contracts, service-level agreements, and managing cost-effective external partnerships. 
  • Experience supporting talent management efforts, including hiring, onboarding, and team development. 
Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. 
How We Work Together
  • Location: Remote within the United States. This role requires 100% of work to be performed in a remote office environment.
  • Travel: This role requires 50% or more travel requirements further explained below. Length of travel will depend upon study requirements, staff needs, and company initiatives. International travel may be required as part of the role.
  • Physical demands associated with this position Include: The ability to use keyboards and other computer equipment.

The expected salary range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000 USD per year for full time team members.
