WHO WE ARE

The PR industry hasn't really changed in fifty years. Relationships, lunches, luck, and a clip report at the end of the month.

Interdependence is rebuilding it from the ground up. Interviewed, our proprietary platform, analyzes 300,000+ stories every day across a network of 250,000 journalists. We turn earned media into something measurable, repeatable, and worth paying for — and apply the same data and discipline across paid, social, content, and brand. Integrated marketing run by one team, on one system, accountable to one result.

Forbes named us one of America's Best PR Agencies. Our 100+ person team works with brands, CMOs, founders, and entrepreneurs across consumer, healthcare, tech, B2B, travel and entertainment.

We move fast. The best argument wins. We hire for sharp thinking, real craft, and ownership from day one. If you want comfortable, this isn't the place. If you want to win, build with us.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Media Supervisor to lead the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated paid media campaigns across social platforms and Google.

This role combines strategic media planning with hands-on campaign management. The Media Supervisor will translate client goals into channel strategies, develop media plans, oversee campaign setup and activation, monitor performance, and identify opportunities to improve results. They will also guide junior team members and serve as a trusted day-to-day media partner for clients and internal teams.

The ideal candidate has strong experience across paid social and Google Ads and understands how each channel contributes to the broader customer journey. They are comfortable moving between strategy, platform execution, performance analysis, client communication, and team oversight.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Media Strategy and Planning

  • Develop integrated media strategies across paid social, paid search, display, YouTube, and other relevant Google placements
  • Translate client objectives into clear channel recommendations, audience strategies, campaign structures, budgets, and performance goals
  • Build detailed media plans that outline channel roles, targeting, investment levels, flighting, creative needs, and measurement approaches
  • Evaluate audience behavior, competitive activity, historical performance, and platform opportunities to inform recommendations
  • Identify the appropriate balance between awareness, consideration, lead generation, conversion, and remarketing tactics
  • Partner with account, strategy, creative, analytics, and public relations teams to ensure media supports the broader campaign strategy

Campaign Execution and Optimization

  • Build and launch campaigns across platforms including Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reddit, X, Google Ads, YouTube, and Google Display
  • Manage campaign setup including objectives, audiences, keywords, bidding strategies, budgets, placements, tracking, and quality assurance
  • Conduct keyword research and develop paid search campaign structures aligned with user intent and business priorities
  • Monitor pacing and performance across platforms and make ongoing optimizations to budgets, bids, targeting, creative rotation, placements, and campaign structure
  • Troubleshoot delivery, tracking, disapproval, billing, and platform-related issues
  • Maintain strong quality-control processes to ensure campaigns launch accurately and on schedule
  • Stay current on platform updates, emerging formats, targeting changes, privacy developments, and media best practices

Measurement and Reporting

  • Establish campaign KPIs and measurement frameworks based on each client’s goals
  • Analyze performance across platforms and connect channel results to broader business outcomes
  • Develop clear reporting that explains what happened, why it happened, and what actions should be taken next
  • Identify trends, testing opportunities, performance risks, and areas for budget reallocation
  • Collaborate with analytics and technical teams to support conversion tracking, pixels, tags, UTMs, and attribution
  • Present findings and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders in a clear and actionable way

Client and Team Leadership

  • Serve as a primary media contact for clients and provide confident, strategic guidance
  • Lead media-related client conversations, presentations, performance reviews, and planning sessions
  • Set expectations around performance, timelines, testing, and platform limitations
  • Review the work of junior media team members and provide clear feedback and coaching
  • Delegate campaign management responsibilities while maintaining accountability for quality and results
  • Support the development of repeatable processes, templates, and best practices across the media team
  • Contribute to new business opportunities by developing media recommendations, budgets, audits, and presentation materials

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience planning and managing paid media campaigns
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Google Ads and multiple paid social platforms
  • Strong knowledge of paid search, paid social, display, video, remarketing, audience development, and conversion-focused media
  • Experience managing campaigns across Meta and LinkedIn, with additional experience across platforms such as TikTok, Reddit, X, or Pinterest preferred
  • Experience managing Google Search, Display, Performance Max, and YouTube campaigns
  • Ability to build integrated media plans and explain the strategic role of each recommended channel
  • Strong understanding of campaign measurement, conversion tracking, attribution, and performance reporting
  • Experience managing meaningful media budgets across multiple campaigns or clients
  • Ability to interpret performance data and translate it into clear strategic recommendations
  • Strong client communication, presentation, organization, and project management skills
  • Experience reviewing or supervising the work of junior team members
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Agency experience supporting multiple clients simultaneously
  • Experience with both B2B and B2C campaigns
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Looker Studio, and third-party reporting platforms
  • Experience with lead generation, ecommerce, awareness, and full-funnel campaign strategies
  • Familiarity with CRM integrations, offline conversion tracking, and lead-quality measurement
  • Platform certifications across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, or other relevant channels
  • Experience supporting media pitches and new business development

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Media strategies are aligned with client goals and supported by clear rationale
  • Campaigns launch accurately, on time, and with appropriate tracking in place
  • Budgets are managed responsibly and pacing issues are addressed proactively
  • Performance insights lead to meaningful optimizations rather than surface-level reporting
  • Clients understand how their media is performing and trust the recommendations they receive
  • Junior team members receive the direction and support needed to produce high-quality work
  • Paid social and Google campaigns operate as part of one integrated media strategy rather than as disconnected channels

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
