The Microsoft Technology Architect delivers hands-on Identity and M&A design and migration services at a senior-level capacity while also championing strategic initiatives relevant to the Microsoft/Security consulting department.

Reporting to the Manager of Microsoft/Security Consulting Services in the Security division, this position is an opportunity for a highly accomplished and relationship-minded Identity and M&A Architect to help Coretek execute complex customer migration projects, at times on tight schedules, to ensure clients can achieve their business goals. The Technology Architect’s time is intended to be engaged on projects, also referred to as billable or utilized work, while contributing to the maturation of standards and hands on implementation of Identity and M&A type migration projects. The ideal fit for the role is a motivated self-starter who is comfortable managing complex projects and coordinating many moving parts and people to ensure a successful project outcome. Candidates with demonstrable experience in solution design, escalation support, and technical depth will be prioritized.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to balance project assignments, also known as utilization, while driving forward strategic initiatives and achieving success in both areas.
  • Ability to both architect and implement complex migration solutions either independently or as part of a team.
  • Recognized by management and fellow team members as a final escalation point for resolving technical issues and project blockers, using those situations as opportunities for fellow team member development.
  • Develop a reputation as a trusted advisor internally and externally with regard to solutioning, designing, and delivering Identity and migration engagements.
  • Engage with clients to identify opportunities within their organization where Coretek products and services can be leveraged.
  • Maintain awareness of changes to products, tools, and methods to identify those of benefit to Coretek, championing selected adoption of new technology and more efficient processes for the team.  This includes leveraging AI and other emerging technologies in our daily work.
  • Assist with mentoring of skilled and high-potential team members to grow into future M&A Consultants and Architects.
  • Participate in the adoption of automation processes as they relate to Coretek and our clients, and proactively identify possibilities to streamline and automate how Coretek delivers on engagements.
Engagement Responsibilities
  • Design and implement Identity and M&A engagements as a lead in a billable capacity, often presenting as the primary representative of the technical project team.
  • Design and implement engagements related to other technologies and solutions as appropriately skilled and capable.
  • Establish, document, and communicate processes for hardware and software configuration, testing, and implementation in accordance with security standards and operational best practices.
  • Participate in projects owned by others as an escalation resource in support of fellow team members as needed.
  • Actively participate and contribute to project plan development, working closely with PMO staff.

RequirementsCore Technical/Product Skills
  • 8+ years doing large or enterprise M&A migration projects.
  • Experience with Identity automation and integration workflows, including Entra integration with Workday, ServiceNow, other applications, and similar platforms.
  • Experience with industry-leading migration tools related to Active Directory, M365, endpoints, servers, and data in on-premises, cloud, and hybrid situations, including tools such as Quest ODM, BitTitan, ShareGate, and similar platforms.
  • Experience with migration from Microsoft and non-Microsoft messaging and data platforms, including tenant-to-tenant, GCC High, cross-forest migrations, Box, Google Workspace, and similar environments.
  • Experience with all forms of on-premises and cloud-based Active Directory and Microsoft-based authentication solutions, including ADFS, SSO, MFA, and related technologies.
  • Experience with third-party identity management and authentication solutions.
  • Experience automating and scripting solutions via PowerShell.
  • Workstation, server, and application migration experience.
Highly Preferred Technical/Product Skills
  • Intune / EMS solutions and products.
  • M365 E5 Security and Compliance, including Defender, Purview, and related products.
  • General knowledge of Azure Infrastructure and Networking.
Certifications
  • Microsoft certifications related to Identity, M365, Security, and similar technologies.
  • Quest certifications related to On Demand Migrator, including ODM and ODM-AD.
  • Other migration tool or relevant industry certifications.
