Intetics Inc., a global technology company providing custom software application development, distributed professional teams, software product quality assessment, and digital innovation solutions, is looking for a GIS / LiDAR Specialist to join our team for a long-term project related to LiDAR data processing and infrastructure analysis.

In this role, you will work with point cloud data, identify telecom and utility infrastructure objects, extract required attributes, and prepare structured deliverables according to project and client requirements.

We are looking for specialists with practical experience in LiDAR / point cloud processing, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently within structured production workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Process LiDAR data according to project instructions
  • Identify telecom / utility poles and related infrastructure objects
  • Measure required heights and attributes from point cloud data
  • Prepare output datasets in the required client format
  • Ensure consistency, completeness, and accuracy of processed records
  • Perform self-QC before task submission
  • Correct issues identified during QA review
  • Report progress and blockers to Team Lead / Project Manager
  • Escalate unclear cases, missing data, or documentation gaps

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

  • 6+ months of practical experience working with LiDAR data / point clouds
  • Understanding of 3D spatial data interpretation:
  • elevation
  • surfaces
  • vertical structures
  • infrastructure objects
  • Ability to visually analyze point cloud datasets
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work according to detailed production instructions
  • Basic GIS knowledge:
  • layers
  • coordinates
  • attributes
  • spatial objects
  • Good computer literacy
  • Experience working with structured data in Excel or similar tools
  • Nice-to-Have Skills

The following experience will be considered a strong advantage:

  • Telecom / utility poles experience
  • Overhead lines, conductors, pole attachments understanding
  • Experience with TerraScan / TerraSolid / Bentley Microstation
  • GIS-related education
  • Experience with:
  • LiDAR classification
  • feature extraction
  • DTM / DSM workflows
  • QA/QC experience for GIS or LiDAR deliverables
