About Krafa

Krafa is building a persistent design-taste layer for AI agents.

Users collect websites, interfaces, graphics, and visual references they like. Krafa learns their taste and helps AI tools generate work that feels specific to them rather than generically “AI-designed.”

We’re looking for a motion designer and video editor who can turn the product, ideas, and brand into sharp, memorable videos.

The Role

You’ll create short-form product videos, launch films, social content, demos, and motion-design pieces for Krafa.

We want someone who can combine product footage, typography, sound design, UI animation, pacing, and visual storytelling to make software feel exciting.

Think polished startup launch videos, animated product explainers, high-energy feature reveals, and visually distinctive content made for X, LinkedIn, YouTube, and product launches.

What You’ll Work On
  • Product launch and feature-announcement videos

  • Motion-heavy short-form videos for social media

  • Animated UI and product demonstrations

  • Founder videos with graphics, screen recordings, and motion elements

  • Brand films and concept-driven product explainers

  • Reusable motion systems, templates, transitions, and visual assets

  • Sound design, music selection, captions, pacing, and final delivery

What We’re Looking For
  • Strong portfolio of motion design and video-editing work

  • Excellent visual taste and attention to typography, composition, rhythm, and transitions

  • Ability to make software interfaces feel dynamic without making the video noisy or gimmicky

  • Experience with tools such as After Effects, Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Blender, Cinema 4D, or similar

  • Comfort working from loose creative direction and developing the concept further

  • Ability to move quickly, accept direct feedback, and produce multiple iterations

  • Understanding of current startup, design, technology, and internet visual culture

Strong Plus
  • Experience creating launch videos for software or AI products

  • Product-design or UI-animation experience

  • 3D motion or lightweight VFX skills

  • Familiarity with Figma

  • Experience creating content optimized for X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Reels, or YouTube Shorts

  • Ability to help write scripts, structure narratives, and develop video concepts

What Good Work Looks Like

A successful video should:

  • Communicate the idea clearly within the first few seconds

  • Make Krafa’s product feel premium and differentiated

  • Use motion intentionally rather than adding effects for their own sake

  • Hold attention without relying on generic viral-editing techniques

  • Feel native to the design and technology community

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
