For overall team productivity, we optimize meeting hours in the pacific time zone. We avoid scheduling recurring meetings that start after 3pm PT, however, ad hoc meetings occur between 8am-6pm Pacific time. #LI-remote

This Opportunity  

We are seeking a resourceful and detail-oriented Motion Designer to join our Design team – a first of its kind. This is a highly collaborative, individual contributor role — ideal for a hands-on, experienced creative with deep expertise in motion design and strong video production skills.  

You will be the team’s go-to expert for all things motion. Your goals will be to educate, excite, and to help simplify the complex. Collaborating closely with the Marketing and Communication teams, you’ll lead the production, editing, and animation for a wide range of marketing assets from marketing sizzle videos to website animations to animated social media posts.  Essentially, if it moves, you’ll design it.  

*Please include a portfolio or reel that demonstrates your motion design and video work, including examples of process and final execution. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Serve as the resident motion design expert on the Design team  
  • Own and execute motion and video content end-to-end, from concepting and storyboarding through final delivery
  • Create illustrated and animated videos and assets to support product marketing, brand storytelling, campaigns, and launches
  • Define and maintain Truveta’s motion design system and animation style, including templates, workflows, and asset libraries, ensuring scalability, consistency, and a high quality bar
  • Produce short-form animated ads and social assets across multiple formats and aspect ratios
  • Edit and finish video content, including screen capture, light live-action, voiceover-driven pieces, and motion-enhanced edits
  • Support occasional live video needs such as talking heads or recorded events, including setup, recording, and post-production
  • Partner closely with Product Marketing, Communications, and Design to translate strategy into compelling motion-led execution
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and partners as a strategic thought leader, offering creative perspective, sharing best practices, and recommending quality solutions
  • Stay current with trends and tools, including AI, in motion design, animation, and video storytelling to evolve Truveta’s visual expression
  • Support internal requests for employee communications, events, and initiatives 

Key Qualifications

  • 5-8+ years of relevant experience in video production and motion graphics, preferably with a B2B/Tech company. At least 2 years of in-house experience is required
  • A portfolio that exhibits a history of successful video and animation solutions that effectively translate complex ideas into visual concepts, demonstrating a high level of craft and attention to detail
  • Proven experience producing high-quality video and motion content from concept to completion, including storyboarding, animation, and editing
  • Solid understanding of cinematography principles, lighting setups, audio capture, and interview production
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, and other video editing tools
  • Expert knowledge of motion graphics and animation principles to create visually compelling content that simplifies complex ideas
  • Understanding of trending motion design and animation tools and emerging AI platforms
  • Proven experience owning projects independently from concept through execution
  • Exceptional organization skills and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated history of successfully collaborating with stakeholders, external partners, and customers
  • Comfortable working with executives and non-actors, providing direction and coaching when needed
  • High-level critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to see around corners and anticipate potential challenges
  • Degree or equivalent experience in design, visual art, film, television, multimedia, animation, or related field is preferred
  • Although this is a fully remote position, occasional travel to support key events or recordings may be required, and expect to travel to Truveta headquarters 1 to 2 times per year

  • The base pay for this position is $134,000 to $145,000. The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target. Pay is based on several factors including location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional compensation such as incentive pay and stock options.
