We are Kickstart Accounting, Inc.

We are dedicated to helping business owners understand their financials.

We are seeking a full-time, entry-level Bookkeeper who will collaborate closely with the Account Manager on client strategy, execution, and monthly reporting.

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing client accounts, and ensuring that financial data is processed according to company policies. You will ensure timely and high-quality financial reports that empower our clients to make better business decisions.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their career in bookkeeping or accounting, with plenty of support, structure, and room to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

  • Familiarity in QuickBooks Online is a plus (but not required, we will train the right person!).
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Comfortable using tools such as Excel, Word, and Zoom.

What We Offer:

  • A career progression path that supports your growth in both responsibility and income.
  • A culture of continuous learning where your ideas will be heard and supported.
  • A collaborative team environment that prioritizes excellence in service.
  • Autonomy and ownership of your work without micromanagement but with clear expectations.

Please consider that you will have to complete the Predictive Index and Cognitive Assessments, as they are a crucial part of our hiring process and must be completed prior to scheduling an interview.

If you are excited, eager to grow in the accounting field, and enjoy working in a structured and fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
