The Network Implementation Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and deployment of complex network solutions that meet our clients’ technical and business requirements. As a member of the Professional Services team, this role partners with clients and internal Sales and Presales teams to translate solution designs and technical requirements into successful network implementations.

The Network Implementation Engineer serves as a networking subject matter expert throughout the implementation lifecycle, providing hands-on technical expertise across one or more networking technologies. This role is responsible for ensuring solutions are deployed accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with established designs, technical standards, and client requirements. The Network Implementation Engineer also supports troubleshooting, testing, documentation, knowledge transfer, and the successful transition of implemented solutions to the client’s operational environment.


Requirements
  • Develop detailed network implementation plans, deployment procedures, test plans, and validation matrices.
  • Review, validate, and translate client business and technical requirements into actionable implementation plans.
  • Configure, deploy, integrate, test, and troubleshoot complex network solutions in client environments.
  • Assess existing network environments and architectures to identify implementation requirements, dependencies, risks, and potential issues.
  • Provide technical recommendations and resolve implementation challenges in collaboration with clients and internal technical teams.
  • Present implementation plans, technical solutions, recommendations, and project updates to clients through both in-person and virtual meetings.
  • Partner with Project Management, Sales, Presales, and other technical resources to coordinate successful client deployments.
  • Provide timely technical and project-status updates and proactively communicate implementation risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including configurations, implementation records, test results, and as-built documentation.
  • Support client knowledge transfer and transition of implemented solutions into the client's operational environment.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 

JOB QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: 

  • 5+ years of hands-on networking experience supporting complex, large-enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years of experience configuring and supporting enterprise network hardware and technologies, including routers, switches, VPN, and IPsec.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise network deployments.
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP and enterprise networking technologies, including LAN, WAN, secure WAN, and VXLAN technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to configure, deploy, test, troubleshoot, and validate complex network solutions.
  • Ability to assess existing network architectures and environments and provide technically sound recommendations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex network issues.
  • Strong client-facing communication and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively and tailor technical information to the knowledge level and needs of the audience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, project managers, engineers, architects, Sales, and Presales resources.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple implementation activities, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Current Cisco or Juniper certification preferred; CCNP, JNCIP, or higher-level certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel as required based on client and project needs.

Physical Demands:

  • Sit at a computer for up to 8 hours per day
  • Keyboarding for up to 8 hours per day
  • Near Vision (working with small objects or reading small print)
  • Speaking (communicating information to clients/coworkers)
  • Hearing Requirements (In person speech, telephone, other sounds)
  • Some travel may be required
  • Additional physical requirements associated with onsite network equipment installation or data-center work may apply based on project responsibilities.
