About the Role

We are seeking an experienced OEM Partnerships Lead to build, scale, and own strategic partnerships with leading global robotics and automation OEMs. This role sits at the intersection of software, hardware, and AI-driven automation, and is critical to our mission of creating entirely new categories in the automation industry.

You will be responsible for identifying, recruiting, and developing deep OEM relationships—spanning go-to-market partnerships, technical integrations, and co-development initiatives—while working closely with executive leadership and deeply technical teams on both sides.

This is a senior, highly visible role ideal for someone who has successfully navigated both big tech and fast-moving startups, and who thrives in ambiguous, high-impact environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • OEM Strategy & Partnerships

    • Define and execute the overall OEM partnership strategy aligned with company growth and product vision.

    • Identify, recruit, and onboard strategic OEM partners across robotics, automation, and adjacent industries.

    • Build long-term, trust-based relationships with global OEMs, including collaboration at the C-suite and executive leadership level.

  • Go-To-Market & Commercial Programs

    • Design and launch OEM go-to-market partner programs, including joint offerings, co-selling motions, and ecosystem strategies.

    • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to drive partner-led revenue and market expansion.

  • Technical & Product Partnerships

    • Lead technical partnerships and integrations, including joint product development, platform integrations, and co-innovation initiatives.

    • Serve as a key interface between partner engineering teams and internal product, AI, and robotics engineering teams.

    • Translate technical capabilities into compelling partner value propositions.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership

    • Work closely with internal stakeholders across product, engineering, AI, sales, and executive leadership.

    • Help shape product roadmap decisions based on OEM partner feedback and market needs.

    • Represent the company externally at industry events, executive briefings, and partner workshops.

  • Startup Execution

    • Operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment with limited structure and high ownership.

    • Build scalable partnership frameworks while remaining hands-on where needed.

Required Qualifications
  • 10–15 years of experience in partnerships, business development, or strategic alliances.

  • Proven track record developing and managing OEM partnerships, particularly with robotics, automation, or industrial technology companies.

  • Demonstrated experience building both:

    • Go-to-market partner programs, and

    • Technical/product partnerships involving integrations or co-development.

  • Strong background working at the intersection of software and hardware products.

  • Experience collaborating closely with deeply technical teams (engineering, AI, robotics), both internally and externally.

  • Prior experience in both large technology companies and startups.

  • Ability to engage, influence, and negotiate with senior executives and C-suite counterparts.

  • Exceptional relationship-building, communication, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Based in (or willing to relocate to) the Redmond / Seattle area.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MBA preferred

  • Technical background (engineering, computer science, robotics, or equivalent experience)

  • Experience in AI-driven products, platforms, or automation technologies

Why Join Us
  • Help define and create new categories in the automation industry using AI

  • Work at the frontier of physical AI, robotics, and software platforms

  • High-impact role with executive visibility and ownership

  • Fast-moving, innovative startup environment with the opportunity to shape the ecosystem—not just participate in it

And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
